Hi every one. I never expected to be lucky enough in finding a barn find, but this is close enough. This 1959 Ferrari 250 PF Couple 1391GT has been off the radar for decades according to Chad of Ferrari Market Letter. Former owner drove the car as a daily driver for about a year in the early 80's, than decided to strip the car for a full restoration only to loose focus on other cars. The intact chassis was stored in a trailer all these years inside a warehouse (thank god) with all other parts well organized in crates. The car was originally white with a blue interior. Looking forward to getting this car back to it's former glory! Another 250 PF Coupe rescued that will never be a donor for any one's replica project.

PS the car had strait pipes and velocity stacks to wake up the neighbors, now that's too cool!

Congrats Geno. Consider yourself lucky... drum brakes, carburetor drip trays and mouse traps are all there. I see an alternator in the box, but that's fine because you got a nice bonus with those velocity stacks. On eBay they could bring a good few bucks that would go toward a generator.

Beautiful project to find and it looks as though a lot of the parts have been boxed and stored well. Have fun with the restoration!

Congrats on the 250 Geno. Nice find! Good colors!

Aren't you glad you didn't buy that 250 GTE from "Redline Restorations",..........the one they don't really want to sell.

    Good on you!

    Ciao and best!

Without you knowing (or probably caring) you helped the PF Coupe community reach a milestone with this wonderful find. We now have more cars listed as found than missing for the first time in the PF Coupe Registry. 177 found. 176 missing

With the demise on July 1st of the free Mac MobileMe service the Registry has had to move. It's temporary home is here :

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47884622/Registry/Home.html

A permanent one will be found in due course.

Your car has a page and I used your F-chat photos. Trust tha'ts OK. Happy to take down if required :

    Great find. Enjoy.

    Darren.

Way to go Geno! So how soon can we expect seeing you driving it around town or at one of the local events? Tabs on riding shotgun for the first ride. You owe me that for helping your stranded AXX out in Monterey, LOL

    John,

Thank you for your input via PM, very helpful. I remember the dynamo being among the parts. Maybe the alternator was used to get the car have better illumination while it was a daily driver for the previous owner.

    Trev,

I am. I had tickets bought and a rental car reserved for the gentleman that would be in charge of the restoration to travel to Redline to inspect the GTE. Only to find out the night before he left that the chassis number was unfortunately removed off the block. Lost a few bucks in the process. They could of been more upfront instead of waiting till the last minute. Not to mention what happened before that.

    Geno
