    Hi Marc
I have sent my address via Email.

I am not sure if I will put it back on the car or frame it and hang it on the wall!

Thank you once more for organising the signing.

    Regards
    Graeme

Thanks Marc, actually this is new to me, I thought there were more celeste cars, why I did I do not know, maybe because the car in the first brochure also has that color.

    These are very nice too!

I especially like no. 298 with the green and the red car.

And no. 477 which reminds me of a photo in another brochure, in these pictures you can see how low the driver sits in the car, very nice!

    Hello AMLC,

Yes you do have a rare color!

The photo you show just above is with none other than Ermanno Cozza at the wheel in period!

Graeme your sunvisor started its journey from Charolais region Burgundy to new South Wales Australia this afternoon, I hiumbly suggest you frame a high res photo of it and put it back where it belongs: in the macchina:)

My pizza just buzzed ready, more photos in an hour!

    best regards,

    Marc

PS Bart your T Top looks great as ever!

    Thanks Graeme,

Well doing car books and car events is for sure no way to get rich quick (which is why I am finishing a quarter length novel as a learning exercise and have the plot for a full lenght one ready -yes there is a Khamsin in it...of course!-) but the postage is on me because I enjoyed the episode when I told your story to the participants and you greeted them by way of cell phone and microphone from the other side of the world! That was a nice moment!

If you had sent me an engine block I would let you pay though;-)

    best regards,

    Marc

Well I guess 341 must be disgusted to be slumming it on the roads of Southern England rather than the rolling hills of Burgundy, as she decided yesterday to dump all her fluid under the drivers seat and grind to a halt in a fit of hydraulic hysterics!

So I've sent her to detention at Bill McGraths and will promise her another European trip soon.

Oh no! Sorry about that I guess the magic luck we had with the even wore out...when it comes out of McGrath jail there is always as mentioned Le Mans Classic in 10 days: Andy has very good practice at getting K's ready in a rush to head to France:)

Blue Celeste is what red is to Ferrari and silver metallic to Mercedes. Every Maserati road car model that has been produced, starting with the A6G2000, has been available in Blue Celeste. Some people call it "the magic color of Maserati". Especially combined with the creme white or Magnolia interior it makes the car stand out and it suits the original customer circle of the classic Masers; luxurious but not too flashy!

I have seen a number of originally Blue Celeste Khamsins that have been repainted in silver metallic, re-sale red or dark blue. As a matter of fact I always turn my head when I see a Blue Celeste Maserati no matter if it is a Touring 3500, a Sebring, a Mistral, a Ghibli (I am pre occupied) a Khamsin or any other of the more modern models. It suits the origin of the make very well.

    Wow Marc!!

thank you so much and what treat. Addressing the Dinner guests was quite surreal at 10 to 5am still half asleep, I am pleased that they enjoyed the story about the glass, and the fact that technology afforded me to opportunity to speak to them all.

    Kind regards

    #004 looks great!

How did you determine the right colour for #004, was the original paint still visible somewhere on the car?

    Hello all:

Wouter congratulations again you, your brother and your team did an incredible job for Wil who I know was a great source of motivation for you all, the car is just stunning.

AMLC the color was still visible in a few spots such as the inside of the glass framing pillars just behind the doors and elsewhere since the black paint it had for 30 plus years in Sicily and Holland was very thin.

There were two gold shades on the car according to Wil and some weeks ago when I asked Fabio Collina at Maserati to identify the gold before Wil, Wouter and the others committed to a specific color there was a lot of perplexity as none of the Maserati golds matched...in the end we realized that Bertone had used an Alfa color, I believe some Montreal had that shade.

In any case when I visted Wil in Holland near Eindhoven in May 2011 to be frank the prospect of having the car ready for K40 seemed a dream and Wil, Wouter and all the others involved did an incredible job to get it ready just a few days before.

    Bravo again!

I Will post lots more KHAMSIN QUARANTA photos in coming weeks we "only" have 1100 professional photos to choose from:)

I will be at Le Mans Classic with Marius and fellow K owner Renè from Norway beginning Friday morning, they are then heading back to Norway that afternoon, I am staying at Le Mans for articles till Monday morning: who else is comign to LMC?

Please let me know by email or PM and we can exchange numbers.

Pierre Castinel the designer should be there with K #148 and hopefully there will be a few others.

    best regards,

    Marc

I was invited up to a local event in the Aberdeen area over last weekend. I insisted on taking the K. Amazingly the car was actually ready on Friday after months of minor issues that succeeded each other.

Anyway here is a link to the Video. Please ignore the commentary about the car being 1986 etc! They thought I was bringing my countach QV and clearly didnt change the notes! I was amazed they did not suggest it was a V12!

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ogkhGHwEQ8[/ame]

I will post a link to some pics of the car on circuit as well. Some nice pics. The track was very slippery and we were warned to take it very easy! The GT40 was a replica with some big V8 in it. I was meant to be up against a 715bhp 7L cobra, but they changed it! lol

Car felt fine, but I was scared of skidding into the bales. Especially after the commentator suggested my name sounded like an F1 driver!

    Cool video Paul!

Of course it makes no sense at all to pair you with a GT40, and the commentator obviously doesn't have a clue. Khamsin is to most, even car-people, an un-known entity..

    Hello all,

Heading to Le Mans Classic this afternoon, if you are going as well, with or without K let me know by PM or call me if you already have my cell.

Paul great video, odd that they mixed you with a GT40 and who did they confuse you with: Dario Franchiti or Jean Pierre Sarti:)?

Marius is landing from Norway with Renè (who is also a K owner) in 30 minutes in Geneva and we are convoying with his K and my car to Le Mans this afternoon, I enjoyed driving his car twice briefly with his kind permission and took a few shots at Chateau de Drée (1st photo) and on the grounds of another Chateau here in southern Burgundy.

I even hand washed the car which I rarely do but it was a pleasure:)

    best regards,

    Marc
