HK Exotics spotting

Indeed I've been dealing w/ Kevin since Willen's departure and he's been reasonable.

 

Will post some pics. Have been too busy driving it since I got it. Weather so co-operative whenever I am out. Never had the top up yet

 

rosso corsa with black interior/red stitching. sports seats and lots of CF. the new rear CF grill looks really great. Grigio Ferro metallic sports wheels (same colours as sports sills and headlights) with yellow calipers. 100% happy with my spec.

only downside of car is that it is not manual. in that respect i like my 355 spider stick better.

other downside is that new cars are so so expensive these days!!!

Can't agree more. I'm still holding a SMALL glimpse of hope that they *MIGHT* offer stick as option like what they did for California...

there is no chance. zero. manual cali not available any more either. last manual car to come out of maranello is the last 599 and that went to a hk collector (actually there were 3 or 4 together)

 

Wow, 599 in 6 speed manual. That's a sight to be seen... Surely a winner in my book...

Anyone been watching the LM24H? Despite Peugeot not being there it's been another classic race. Heading into the last couple of hours now... Grab a cup of tea or a cold beer and turn Eurosport on if you haven't already!

Setting of for Le Mans today for the Classic 24h weekend. I'll be driving a bright red '66 Jaguar Mark 2 in convoy with a '24 Bentley 3-litre, 420SL and a 911 Targa. Can't wait! Plenty of pictures to follow I'm sure.

I concur. Great plan. Wishing I was doing same, but looks like I have to settle this year with another trip to Monza, this time in a rented Alfa Romeo Guiletta. Not quite a Mark 2 Jag or Bentley!!

By the way DM, just saw a Ferrari announcement for "The Ferrari Myth" "permanent brand exhibition" in Shanghai and see there is a Silver 275 GTB and a red Daytona. Anything to do with you and any of your cars on show there?

Conclusions to be draw from the Classic?

1. Le Mans is the most un-photographer friendly place ever with the fences everywhere.

2. I seriously want to give up my job to become an automotive photo-journalist, now wher do I get the contacts and a press pass for events like this...
