I like ckas color much more... ;)

    I'm waiting....

Who is the new owner? I knew a guy who tracked it as well as his 996tt at sepang quite often and we had some fun at the track together in my old SL...

    But gearbox sucks.... Crappy changes.

C360S you bought the car when? Do I happen to know you from Sepang?

    Meng is the owner English?

Heading back to Singapore Thursday. Then a drive to KL.... Trackday withdrawal symptoms... I love older 911s... But boy are they slow and handle like soggy biscuits... I need my fix of modern technology ASAP.

Nope it was a silver one. Tim's is by far one of the loudest cars I've ever heard. But he said his CS is back to stock now due to inspection.

    Wow! What did I miss?

    LOL

Must be the same guy cos other than the CS, he also has a 911TT.

How's the 993 doing? Any maintenance since?

    We'll meet in KL then.

Meng, 3 yrs belt job is not mandatory but a bargaining chip. Please visit the 348/355 section & read up everything & anything you'd want to know about this car. Most owners don't bother about the 50K major because in the older cars, they rarely reach that mileage or went through too many hands to be bothered. Owners then don't drive their Ferraris like we do today. For a peace of mind, we usually do a major on 2nd hand Ferraris which includes all fluid, plugs, alternator, aircon, suspension check, belts & seals. Tyres, brakes etc. For your model, since the engine will be out, we'll look @ the waterpump & clutch as well. Just prepare S$10~20K a year for maintenance & you'll be fine.

Some of these old Ferraris have accident history, minor to major so other than panel fits, I would pay extra attention to chassis & suspension. All the arms/steering rack etc & replace as necessary while you can order all parts from internet now reaching you within few days when stocks are available. The 348 & 355 has a small problem of C pillar rust @ the joint line to body so check for bubbling while the triangle mirror plates always leak as well. You'll also want to see if all the door/window & targa seals need to be renewed & they can be expensive or buy window seals from DIY shops for cheap fix.

Old Ferraris can be cheap but maintenance will bite you back.

I like it! Thought that the rear quarter suspiciously resembles the AM V8 Vantage.

    +1

Thanks bro, we should do a triple CS meet & photoshoot. Will bring proper gears then. Love your painted stripes :)

Tune the bugger & it'll make a huge difference but there is noticeable lag only if you track it or do serious B roads made worse as the Turbo struggles to keep up. No problem for daily & highway runs. You can buy aftermarket paddle shifters with steering wheel for the Tip though but be careful of insurance payout when needed!

So are we throwing dices there?

Welcome back to reality mate. Wonder what kind of reservist make you do duty on Sundays, you didn't do extra did you? :D

Mark.... Works for an investment bank. His kids go to the same school as mine. Lives in a whopping big black and white, collects older cars I think. See the car still from time to time in my car park as we park at the same place.

Roger that jon. When are you going to be in KL. Heard its been raining non stop last few days though. Sheesh.

993 running perfectly mate. Had my fix and ready to put it back in the garage for another's 3 or 4 months.

Ok think I know the owner of the silver CS then. He drives a silver 996tt that is freaking fast on the straights... He picked the CS up few months ago and we had a fun run when he was in the 996tt and I was in the superlegerra way back at sepang.

There are lotsa cars to choose from these days. Shop around a bit more before you decide. Had a 348ts for about a month or 2 and returned it to the dealer cos it stalled so frequently when cold. Must say though that it was fun to drive when it's all warmed up.
