Charity Event - Need your Cars and Support

Hi all,

We are raising funds this year for an organization called Unitycharity. Their website is www.unitycharity.com.

Unity was started 4 years ago by a young man, Michael Prosserman, 22 at the time (!), to help youths from 10-18 find their paths in life, and in turn become mentors and leaders. The after school programs target troubled youths, teaching them to express themselves through breakdancing, poetry, voicebox and legal graffiti.

In 4 years, Unity has reached over 70,000 youths all across Canada, including natives. Youths who have been through the programs are already joining internship programs and teaching/mentoring.

Over 82% of all funds raised go directly to the programs.

I know all of us who have the privilege of enjoying these wonderful cars look for ways to share our joy and passion. Please join us on Sat, Aug 11, for this very special and worthy charity.

We are looking for car owners to donate the following:
Rides, professional services and gifts for raffles.

Kids from the charity will be on hand to perform and meet with you. I would love to see us encourage and mentor them

All volunteers get free food and drinks (you are welcome to donate). I am arranging for the Graffiti artists to make something uniquely for you. We will also receive gift bags from us as a token of our deep appreciation

Saturday Aug 11. Event will start at 12, but would appreciate if cars can arrive around 11:30. Have a quick meeting and orientation, meet with the volunteers etc.

Adrian is a top notch guy and the charity sounds great as well! If I had a presentable car I would surely show up but I don't and I also work that day.

 

This coincides with another event/drive if im not mistaken

Yeah, the 11th is the Humberview cruise.

Adrian: If you can push it to the Sunday, I can be there 100% like years past. But I'll be leading the route on the 11th so I have to go to that.

 

That would work for me also as I will be on the drive on Sat.

Thank you for your feedback. We've changed the date of the event to Sunday, Aug 12, from 12 noon -5 pm.

We are asking all drivers to please come by 11:30 so that we can have a quick meeting and introduce everyone.

Bump!! Come on guys let's get together for this one. Adrian has always supported good causes and I have participated in many of his events, as many of you have here. This is very small foundation and anything we can contribute would be huge. Even just taking these kids for rides in the cars could inspire them to reach higher goals in life rather then end up in gangs.

Let's show these kids what they can aspire too and motivate them to a new and better future!!

Ah Vasco...the one time you did show up, you were early....BY ONE DAY! lol. How are you doing my friend?

 

And on top of it all I was with a black Diablo VT. But I did make it on the right day one year! Always a great event with great feedback.
