I was out driving to Royal Oak to pick up and drop off some Carbon Fiber, and on the way back, the E320's temp read out peaked at 105°F in Southfield! Stay cool and hydrated!

Hey there Isaac ! Yeah I can hardly believe the heat wave we've been going through. But I can't complain. I gripe so much about how I hate winters....that I have no room to say anything when summer is here. Actually....I like this weather! That's what happens when you get older, fatter, slower, and arthritic....

That's messed up when it is 103 in Indy and 78 in Atlanta.

We're going to Florida next week for vacation, and I'm actually looking forward to lower temperatures.

It has been record-hot here in Ohio. Certainly manageable since I'm indoors ALL day and night. Feel bad for the poor guys outside in this stuff.

I used to never complain about the heat, because I absolutely cannot stand the cold. But I wasn't experiencing heat like this then! I still think I like it better though, I was outside ALL day last Friday, and it was manageable.

I find that a lot of how I feel about the heat is mental, if I think it's suffocatingly hot and I can't breath...then that's exactly how it will feel. I work in a factory that has very little air circulation, and it routinely gets to 110-115 degrees abient. I move at a moderate pace and breath slowly and fully...and I try to stay in a good mood. It's surprising how well you can cope with the heat, while others around me give me dirty looks....and wonder why I'm not dripping with sweat like they are. Over the past 2 weeks I've been working on one of our garages (it's an old building) scraping off old layers of paint, replacing boards, etc...no matter how hot it gets. My neighbors think I'm nuts...but it's all in how you look at it. For some reason I cannot cope with the cold winters like I can the hot summers.

    Hi Jeff,

Is it possible that your inability to cope with cold winters is mental as well? I think it has something to do with both mental and physical. Everyone's body is different, and is more sensitive to different weather conditions than others. I can't stand the cold winters either, and I have poor blood circulation in my hands, which is probably a contributing factor. Just my 2 cents.

To top it off, we do not have A/C at home. So it gets up to 85F in the house.

And drinking beer seems to make it worse by the way.

Vince, your mistake may be drinking American beer. Try some Molson Golden, Canadian beer makes you cooler with no headache to follow.

    Rick,
Thanks for the advice, I will give that a try (and I am sure Eunice would agree with you 100%!)
