I like Laurie's car and inquired about it a year or 2 ago. Though real nice condition, it is really hard for most people to get by the pink.
I like the color and could deal with it nicely if it was a factory color but since it is not, I think the value is not there. Unfortunately, with 2 out of 3 Lambos sucking me dry, I am not in the financial position to buy it this year.

IF you guys could place a price on it, what would you price it at?
Would it be automatic deduction because it would/should be repainted and re-carpeted (white seat are cool though)?

I don't think you could justify having it repainted.

It's a custom paint & interior Espada that AFAIK hasn't had too many other mods made to it but I haven't seen it in a very long time. I would leave it that way. If you think you would need to change it then buy a different car. I have no idea about it's mechanical condition.

Perhaps it belongs in a Barrett Jackson or Mecum auction in the right location?

I'd guess $40-50K there? Espadas are still odd ball cars, especially with that crowd.

I'd bet it would have more appeal as an automatic that the trophy wife could drive?

Some personalized plates too FASTPSSY :D LOL!

I understand from one of the original salesmen at Grossman's, where she bought it, that the original exterior color was a bright green -- don't know the name of the color.

I really hope 40-50K BUT after knowing what Kirk's Esapda sold for, being pretty much the best, and that Urraco8's green/black 2 years ago, another pretty much the best sold for 40k, it might tough to get those numbers.
I was thinking 30k area but in this day and age more or less would not surprise me. Plenty have been sitting around but then again, a couple sold well.

Thirty? I don't think so. You're about seven years late. The problem is it't has to find the right buyer. I doubt Lorrie is in a hurry.

That makes me feel better about all the stuff I have packed away in barns! They're not neglected, just seasoned. ;)

Good points guys. Maybe she should park it in old barn, one with chickens and such for about 5 years? ;)

I think the market for S1 vs S3 might have a bit to do with this?

I thought the 30's because it maybe a tough sale in pink. BUT 45ish would be great. In the photos it looks very clean.....and I like to see a clean engine compartment.

    I've been watching Robert ...

It needed a new handbrake lever?

That hood looks like it's been a lot of work!

I counted 5-6 guys helping you put it through the english wheel. Yikes!

What are you using for the rear exhaust?

OH and BTW, I think you should pull an Aaron Robinson and do a demonstration event of the final assembly on the Concourso lawn LOL :D

    Hopefully not ...

Looks to me like you'll get there!

    Hi Bob,

Charles had pulled on the brake handle one day and it broke in his hand. It's a long story but the handle went missing. The Auto cars have the handle mid seat because of the tunnel and looks like a 124 Fiat.

I found a 124 handle on ebay. I had to rework the handle (cut/drill/weld) to make it work.

I had the english wheel working on the hood skin that day (without frame). :)

The exhaust is the old but without the extra bend from being T-Boned!

I was thinking maybe a drop of oil on the grass this time.

Hey the smoke is coming out of that exhaust from the wrong end! :D

Yeah the conversion from auto to 5-spd must be quite something.

So many niggling things to do Robert ...

I need your help please. We took our "fully restored" S3 espada to the Silverstone Classic event in the UK, terrific weekend and I had the honour of Valentino being my passenger whilst we paraded the cars on the circuit. However, on the way home, the car died on my because it was only using the battery. One of the belts has come off the alternator and I cant find any information on where to locate them from. Does anyone have part numbers and sizes for all of the belts for the S3 please. I can then go to a belt specialist here in UK to match up what's needed.
    Thanks
    Tannucats

    Hi,

Speaking of parking in old barns, the Iranian car museum a little while back (October 2011) brought out a Espada from nearly three decades of storage. In a joint project between the museum, the Classic Car Committee of the Iranian Motorcycle and Automobile Federation and the local representatives of Sonax, the car was cleaned up and put on display. Any help in helping us identify the history of this car would be greatly appreciated. We are positive that it is ex-Iranian Royal Family as:

    1. Some of the documents in the car said so (though not whom).

    2. The Italian 'EE' export plates were still in the car ( most royal family cars were never titled) and were driven around with their export plates.

    3. The plate states that it is an Espada 400GT chassis number 9382.

I just want to mention that kudo's should go to Mr. Hosseini, curator of the museum who is doing his best to get many of the cars still in storage on display. We worked with him on a number of cars in the past, including the Bizzarrini 5300 Gt which is now on permament display. Here are the "before" photos.

    Enjoy,

    Ramin

    Hi,

Here are the after photo's. The bulk of the job was done by Aren Barkhordorian of Sonax and Hadi Nikpour of the Classic Car Committe of the Auto Federation.
