Michael, care to elaborate, without getting in trouble or giving up your sources? How is your feeling on the design without once again giving away too much.

Finally, will it be closer to US $1.3 or $1.7 Million?

I have yet to see much of the car, just the nose. I know people that have seen the car and they say one common thing "Its much prettier than the Enzo" interpret that anyway you like, but they have all said it. It shouldn't come as any surprise that the car will surpass the Enzo on every level, however Ferrari are gunning for particular one record or least trying to get very close to it and no, it is not P4/5C's record. If you look at the recent developments with the 599xx evo project you can see where Ferrari are going to take the new car. The price of this car is going to vary much more than any previous super Ferrari as Ferrari are offering real options with this car.

Not me! I didn't buy a new Ferrari since my 599, have swapped dealers for service and sales too many times, used various management companies for the cars, so it's safe to say, considering I have owned 3 Enzo's, 1 F40, 9 new ferraris since 2005 /6 and a total of 16 Ferraris in that time ( not to mention 4 Maserati's) , the fact I have no letter from Ferrari telling me this car even exists, I ain't gonna be getting one!

Your dealer is pathetic. Sorry for their stupidity and loss. Sorry that it makes it harder for you to get the cars that you want.

Maybe you should sell the building and buy the building from your local dealer's current landlord. Don't order a car. Just raise their rent.

This may be a stupid question, but is the release of the new Enzo likely to have any effect on the value of the old Enzo?

Jim, it would be unfortunate if you could not get anything you want from Ferrari given the exposure you afford the marque.

But, at this point, given P 4/5's uniqueness & your personal involvement, I'm not sure they could really do anything that would surpass that experience.

    Food for thought.

    Unfortunate, again.

I can bear witness to the fact that you are both a great gentleman ambassador for the marque and generous with your cars to boot. I am proud to call you a client, and I know if I had any say, you'd be getting anything you like.

I'm not sure anything really would. It's funny when Luca first saw P 4/5 he asked Andrea what the name refered to. One of the designeer's who overheard the remark discretely came up with a photo of a P4 to show him.

I try to keep moving everyday. Today I checked out how 0854's final paint is coming along.

One thing I'm sure that you, I and hopefully a few others will agree on is that the New Enzo is unlikely to look quite as good as that one...

This is a very sad thing. How could he not know, the cars weren't that old when he was working on the racing team. Kinda sums up the current mindset of Ferrari.

I can't remember where I read it (my online search only takes me to Wikipedia) but I thought Bugatti already sold more than 300 Veyrons? If I remember correctly, sales were doing pretty good and they increased total production to 300 coupes (including SS) and 150 Grand Sports (including Vitesse).

Anyone else remember reading/hearing about this?

Wow. I just lost all respect for Luca after hearing this. On a brighter note your car is looking great! Any chance it will be ready for Pebble?

Well, Luca is known for having a deep knowledge of the marque, so he either did not make the connection or had a momentary lapse. It happens.

Of course Luca knows very well what a Ferrari (330) P4 is. And showing a picture of that car doesn't explain the name P4/5 nor what it refers to.

Maybe LdM was just playing coy and P4/5 is really the new Enzo body design hiding in plain sight...

He didn't. Andrea and the designer were very clear about that.

There will never be another car like Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina, a one off designed and engineered by Pininfarina completely out of the Ferrari System, that against long odds Luca made an official Ferrari. All Ferrari Sp's must now go through Ferrari. The Enzo was Luca's design wish a tribute to Ferrari's F1 success under Luca. I hope the New Enzo will be all Luca wishes and that the guys who buy one will be as happy with it as the guys who buy Enzo era Ferrari's are with theirs.

You can bet that Luca knows what a P4 is, because everybody knows that, but maybe he didn´t know what a P3/4 is.

Still, respect for Luca. He already was winning races when many of us still were wearing diapers or were just a lusty thought of our parents. And he has been alive and kicking since then.

Which is exactly why (in my humble opinion) I feel that you have already scaled Supercar Everest.

Even if invited to do so, I'm not sure you would tolerate all the hoops [polite word used] that would exist with making a new car "yours". All IMHO.
