Wow. Motec dash and everything. Very purposeful!
I'll ask a dumb question: What are the racing obligations/strings mentioned in the post?

The racing obligations referred are the ones that come when buying a brand new challenge car from Ferrari. The current policy when purchasing a new challenge car is a commitment to compete in atleast 2 Ferrari Challenge races with a supporting dealer.

This is the only NEW 458 challenge on the market without these obligations necessary for purchase.

For argument sake. Regardless of alleged obligation to race. Why would anyone want a 458 Challenge if they had no plan to race in the Challenge Series? Some day I'd like to race in the Challenge.

There are probably more people that track cars than ones that actualy do wheel-to-wheel racing. To paraphrase Ferris - if you track, and if you have the means...

Because the 458C is a great track car and racing in the Challenge is super expensive. Even if you can afford a 300k track car, doesnt mean you are comfortable spending 30-50k over a week end racing.

agreed! My opinion is: The 458C is so choice...if you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.
