Yes saw that that looks like the real deal at this point.....it's a matter of taking away what fake and seeing what's left
The Fchat Jalopnic shot reveals what looks to be the real radiator exit which is along the lines of this one's except the sides don't angle out but are straight as they were in 2011. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
He noticed during testing that the bonnet was lifting because it had not been properly secured, which made him start thinking ... Pete
For those proposing the idea of a sub 3000 pound car, its not happening, I can assure you. The new car weighs more than 3,000 pounds. For those of you expecting a Veyron beater, you will be disappointed. However, this car is going to be much more flexible and tunable in its setup than the Enzo. Ferrari is going in a interesting direction with this latest effort.
Hmmmm so can you give us any idea on Ferraris Goals and Targets with this car... Veyron target not a biggie but the weight is sounding still in the Enzo weight area.....You make it sound more like a Enzo Evo or Stradale then that of a f70
When was this? The first car I remember like this was the Lola GT. We're his McLaren Can Am's before that? The 66 P3's, Ford GT's and Lola's had them. PF used it on Dino Competitione as well. Bruce was a great engineer.
M1a 64 I think was his first, Lola gt was 63 right ? Tho wasn't the Lotus Europa 62 Race car the first (http://www.banks-europa.co.uk/gallery/gallery7/model62.jpg)
Interesting question. This makes a huge aero difference between an Enzo and Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina. Hopefully the new Enzo will use it.
Ok so what's the target weight of the car, and why was it hinted at 2800lbs by "reputable" sources, I always knew 2800lbs was pure fantasy, but does anyone know, that's in the know, the car's true weight?
Dear Mr Glickenhaus, considering your expertise and numerous contacts in the industry, do you have any information or feeling on when the new Enzo will be released? Thank you, and apologies for deviating the original question on the weight of the car.
Hi I think what they've said and other specific posters like Michael have said are correct. Personally I'm a bit of a "****ing Sicilian" at this point as far as Ferrari is concerned and the odds of them telling me anything, helping me in anyway, selling me spare parts, or offering me a New Enzo are zero. That said there is many a great story that begins with "So and So was pissed at Ferrari." or "Ferrari was pissed at So and So." I'm proud to carry on that great tradition.
Several people generally in the know have mentioned "options and tunability" a few times ..does that mean a lusso/stradale vs corsa/pista type options strategy ?
Lauda owned a GTO? I´ve read that at some point he lost interest in fast road cars and that he had a chauffeured Bentley. Somewhat ignominious for a F1 world champ.
