NYC owners...where can I get a new tire mounted?

So blew out my front right tire on the FDR drive tonight (major pot hole). Where in NYC can I get someone to put on a new OEM spec front tire. Hopefully don't need a rim. There is no authorized dealer in NYC to my knowledge.

 

I would try manhattan Motorcars although I'm sure that there are a ton of other places that can do it as well.

 

thank you for the post. I have a message into Maserati NYC (sister dealer to Ferrari Plainview) which reputedly has ferrari service in NYC. Need to get a flat bed over here.....fun times.

 

God bless you driving a Ferrari in Manhattan. Especially on the FDR. There seem to be potholes everywhere. Took mine to Meat Packing one time. OMG! That's all I can say. Ferrari's and cobble stone don't mix very well. Hope you don't need a new wheel too.

 

I am about to drive my Carrera GT from the Hamptons up to Monticello Motorsports Park tomorrow. I am dreading the roads after I get off the LIE going north. Any thoughts?

 

I'd take the Cross Island Pkwy to Whitestone Bridge then take the Hutchinson to 287 west. Those are pretty decent roads except for the Whitestone and right lanes of the Tappan Zee Bridge. Watch out for the Westchester County Police on the Hutchinson as they enforce heavily at all of the blind corners.

 

started my night in Meatpacking actually, then soho, then FDR. I guess the car should have just pulled itself over and said, "really?"
I think i'll be leaving it in its garage spot rather than as shuttle around NYC.

 

Agree with the recommendation of cross island to 287/hutch. Do your best to avoid Manhattan streets --it's really gotten too bad to describe-- and stay away from left lane due to the drainage grates on cross island north. I saw a Carrera GT going west a few sunday evenings ago as I was going into the midtown tunnel. Was that you?

 

I keep my 430 in the city and also had my 996. Depends where you are driving but as long as you are careful (not gunning down side streets), you're fine. I onlyz had one problem ten years ago and took out two tires. Avenues are generally in much better shape and haven't had a problem on the Fdr or west side highway. Less trafficked side streets are where you probably need to watch out.

 

But how good does a Ferrari sound going down those side streets with tall buildings on either side??? Almost as good as a tunnel blast.

 

It is pretty sweet. Not sure the people at the outdoor restaurants appreciate it but when they look its a lot nicer than a garbage truck or motorcycle...
