Can someone post the link to BBC where F1 can be streamed? Live and possibly past races. I have ability to VPN to the UK. Oh, Yes, I did a search and did not find exactly what I am looking for: A direct BBC link from someone who has tried it. Some other F1 streaming link (non BBC) posted in some thread by someone started popping up all kinds of crap. Thanks, Jes
The BBC only show highlights of most races nowadays, and won't screen anything next year on. Sky is the one to get, I think you can get that by subscription on satellite in the US? I would offer you to log into my slingbox but if I do it for you, everyone else will be annoyed
No live stream this week on BBC. Next live race on the BBC is SPA. wbich you can watch here http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/

Thanks guys. In the US I usually watch live on Speed Channel (or Fox when they steal a few races), but I am traveling in Europe at the moment with only internet access. Sid, no problem with slingbox - understand. Thanks again, Jes
OOPS!-WRONG! (From: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sporteditors/2011/07/f1_coverage_to_be_shared_betwe.html ) New F1 deal explained Ben Gallop Ben Gallop | 12:54 UK time, Friday, 29 July 2011 "We announced today that from next season the BBC will be sharing coverage of Formula 1 with Sky Sports. There has been considerable reaction to the news so I feel it's important to explain some of the background behind what has happened. The headline is that under a seven-year deal starting next season, we will be showing 10 of the races in the F1 calendar, plus the corresponding qualifying and practice sessions, live on BBC TV...... ....The speculation is now over. This new arrangement extends the BBC's commitment to F1 by a further five years - our existing contract, which gave us exclusive rights in the UK, was due to expire in 2013....." Also here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/9550930.stm BBC and Sky awarded rights in new Formula 1 deal Ecclestone on new Formula 1 TV deal "The BBC and Sky Sports will broadcast Formula 1 in the UK between 2012 and 2018 under a new rights deal." So that's half of the races live, half of the races as highlights, and coverage of F1 on the BBC (in its sadly reduced form) up until 2018. As for SKY's coverage - I've seen a couple of races on SKY and wasn't that impressed! (not enough to shell out @ 3 times the money annually for the full coverage!). They spend a little bit longer on the coverage before the race (and fill in the time before the race with more F1 documentaries and interviews with F1 celebs from the past), the post race coverage is not much longer than the BBC's F1 forum on the red button, and the actual race commentary was pretty much identical to the BBC's (actually, I watched the Canadian GP on SKY and got frustrated that Brundle was lagging behind the action by @ 3~5 laps for most of the race! - and Brundle is blatantly missing working with David Coulthard!).
Oops, I thought they had just a year left, obviously not. Still only highlights mostly though isn't it. I Rarely miss one (Canada this year was the first in ten years) but if I do, I struggle to stay focused on watching highlights or a race recording if I already know the result When they do screen on BBC, I tend to have the sky coverage on the big screen, and on the two TVs between Living room and kitchen, and in the kitchen, BBC coverage as those TVs not linked to the satellite boxes, so it means getting a coffee doesn't demand the amp on full blast just to hear developments
This is the link that pops up all kinds of windows... Are you actually able to watch F1 through this - free I hope, given the "nuisances"? Jes
err.... no Maybe they are getting the sound from BBC5 Sports Extra which does a live radio feed http://www.bbc.co.uk/5livesportsextra/
