    Imagine being that guy(Kittinger). "Ok, Col. Kittinger, When you get up to the highest reaches of the atmostphere, of which we don't really know where it is, just jump. Should be around 20 miles up. Good Luck and hopfully we see you back on the ground in one piece. By the way, we are going to duct tape some gloves on you so you won't freeze to death. LOL. I think I would have to go AWOL at that point.

    His story is well worth reading. As I recall he had a leak in his glove and his hand swelled up like a balloon.

    Even cooler - he's an advisor on this expedition. I don't drink red bull, but that is a damn cool company.

    Very cool story indeed.

    Even beating his record, it still pails in comparison of what Kittinger did in 1960, imo.

    The first guy gets the big kudos.

    Everyone remembers the Wright boys and Chuck Yeager, but not the guy that flew a little higher or faster a few years later.
