Car is in great condition...silverstone with cuio interrior...car is in Boston area...4200 miles...custom stereo system (Alpine..$8000 new) done by Rich's Car Tools...Valentine One hardwired in...Challenge Rims...Daytona seats with black inserts...carbon fibre on both the steering wheel, center consoles, and sills...

Not a lot of options for dealers here...What's the car worth wholesale? and how best to market it?

Will move onto a 458 eventually. Thanks for your help.

It could be wrong but I would probably say wholesale would be 120 to 125... And I think retail would probably be between 135 to 140. I'm going a little on the high side because your car sounds really nice low mileage lots of carbon fiber challenge wheels the car sounds really good. If it was Sixby with carbons Roemig breaks I would probably say 140 all day. Good luck with the sale.

I think you might be able to get $140-145k wholesale and $165-$170k retail. Sounds like a really nice 430. Good luck with the sale!

Your car sounds really nice. F430 Spiders are still holding value well and I would say market the car here on Ferrarichat.

You may not get any more money for the stereo or the radar but given the low miles and nice options you should find a buyer. My guess wholesale is around $150,000-$153,000 give or take considering clutch wear?, records?, condition?....and around $165,000-$169,000 retail.

About a month ago I put together this chart on F430 prices by vintage and type. Prices were taken from various dealers' websites -- mostly in California, but also from a few other metros around the country. Since these are offering prices, I suspect that the final retail price would be something like $5 - $10K below these levels, after negotiation. Wholesale prices would probably be another $10K below those levels. Prices assume 2,000 miles per year of the car's age (so 2007 could have up to 10,000 miles). Add / subtract $1K for every 1,000 miles below / above this amount.

I don't think the stereo, radar detector and other aftermarket additions will add too much to the overall value. So, assuming the car is as represented, I would say retail price of $160 - $170K and wholesale price closer to $150 - 155K.

Would be curious if others think these prices are reasonable / out of line.

Wholesale on a comparable 2006 is about 135k so you shpuld be at around 145k wholesale. The above estimates are about right. Post some pics.

Shark -- Colors and options definitely do affect value, though I did put the price ranges together across a number of cars with different color combinations. I do think red / tan is going to be the most "liquid" combination, and would probably trade near the higher end of the range, while more unqiue combinations may trade towards the lower end as the buyer base is likely to be more limited.

Then I think the coupe 2005-2007 and Spider 2005-2006 are high. Data point, 2007 coupe 3,500 miles, good options (contrasting stitching and piping, daytonas, shields) blk/blk asking $145k, was told wink, wink available in the $130s.

I'd give you $144k right now, 'wholesale', for the car. And I'm probably lower than others.
Potentially more if I was able to review all the service records, clutch life, etc etc etc. Lots of questions to be answered that add $5k+ to the value.

    Thank you to all...

Now...next question...what is the best way to sell car? Ebay? Ferrari Market Letter...The car is really great...the sound system will be worth something considerable to someone....Rich's Car Tunes did awesome work for a lot of big celebrities...love the stereo!

Only reason that I'm selling is that I just don't drive the car enough and I will get a 458 down the road...

I think the used 458's coming to market now will create pressure on the more expensive 430s (above the $180k mark)

What is the sales tax in your state? Where would you likely go for the 458? The reason I ask, of course, is trading offers the added benefit of tax abatement for the purchase as well as the hassle free transaction. So1 10k difference for the price really does not amount to 10 K difference- unless of course you lease your 458.

Also you then don't have to deal with the test drives, information responses and tire kickers.

For me the best place to advertise is eBay and then sell off of it. I think very few Ferraris actually sell on eBay, but do sell from eBay.

I just bought my 430 but, I was stalking my dealers website and looked on cars.com. There are too many cars with stories on eBay.

    Just my 0.02

    Hydraaa,

Still have the car? If not, can you share what it traded it? If so, what are you planning to do with it? Can you please post some pictures?

    Best,

120K you should get - stereo doesn't matter (sorry) but low miles is huge.

check out ferrari market letter - I find there prices accurate.

there are a ton of spiders on the market, a nice coupe is rarer, so don't panic, but
458's will put pressure on market.
