    Oh come one, you mean to tell me you don't know an attorney that can do something to help you as a favor. Even I have a buddy that is a partner at a law firm. I had a problem with Nissan once and told him the issue. He wrote a not so nice letter on the law firm's letter head and in 3 days I was told they would flat bed my car in and do repairs at no charge. It was a beautiful thing.

    Despite my good fortune of having a well connected friend, sometimes the legal fee is worth the satisfaction!

    With all due respect, I don't think you know what you're talking about.

    Every customer is important. Any business or sales person that doesn't think so will find themselves out of business or a job in this economy or any economy.

    That's true for this dealer and this salesperson.

    Dealers act this way because they do something wrong, make an honest mistake, or are just incompetent. It's not their natural attitude to just screw people over because they know another sap will walk in the door.

    I definitely can get someone to write a letter, but I'm not going to Florida for a small claims court issue, it's just not worth it for the amount I got screwed out of. If they don't pull through and cover what they promised, the only reasonable outcome is that we will both suffer financially. However, I will make it my personal mission that they suffer WAY more than I did if I find out it stemmed from dishonesty.

    Ive done this once or twice, i have lawyer friends and one in the family, they seem to enjoy doing it. It works wonders. You'll be amazed how quickly they respond.

    omg - I started reading this thread an hour ago & couldn't take it any longer. Hats off to those that have the patience. I had to jump to the end so I could subscribe and come back later.

    I hope to be in the same situation as the OP soon (that is BUYING a 360 or 430 - NOT having problems) So far I've seen a few valuable comments, points of view.

    I did not read if you complained to the FL attorney general. I had a vehicle/ dealer issue in Illinois and their intervention expedited my resolution.

    Based on what I'm seeing so far, I don't have too many hopes that they are going to do the right thing, I will probably only see what I'm entitled to if they are forced to pay. Not exactly ethical in my book. Unbelievable! The stuff would have totaled about $500 their cost...I don't get it? Possibly one big joke? After the 1st I will post a letter that I sent out describing my patience wearing thin with them. You will not even believe what the salesman wrote back! It was as if we never spoke about any issues with the car from day 1????
    I feel like I am in the twilight zone!

    I doubt this guy will see business from FChat members in the future.

    Very silly and unprofessional. It's a small world and word of unethical behavior travels fast, especially with the Internet.

    The best punishment for that dealer will be future reduced revenues.

    I wish we had a thread that listed people's difficulties with dealers. Not necessarily a black list, but each post in that thread would link to a thread such as this. Not sure what the legalities of it would be for Rob.

    BTW, I think it's Ferrari of Palm Beach, not FOFL.

    FofPB is the dealer that sold me my car. Not FofFL! Please make sure that they are not mixed up. I would hate for an honest dealer to get a bad rap. All that said, I don't know anything about other dealers except 2 others. Ferrari of Greensboro, NC is one, they did an awesome job on a PPI on a car I almost purchased, and great guys to deal with. The other, Ferrari of Long Island, did the paint correction on my car after FofPB delivered my car without the promised paint correction. FofLI did am AMAZING job with the detail of my car! A real great bunch of guys that I dealt with. They also get two big thumbs up from me!

    SURPRISE!!!
    I just got a check in the mail from the dealer! I am pleasantly surprised. They only owe me the gas cap now, and we are even. They are working on getting it to me. (like most of you) I was starting to have my doubts, but now I'm glad I didn't lose my cool. I am also glad that I gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave more weight to what they were saying verbally vs. the action I was seeing. I want to thank all the members that gave me support through it, and I'm sure it helped my outcome.
    My final word on this, as I was saying from the beginning:
    If you buy a car, from anyone, or anywhere, please make sure it is exactly how you want it before that check gets handed over. It will create a much more pleasant experience for all the parties involved.
    I'm glad to see that that they took responsibility for the mistakes and made it right. It is definitely important for consumers to know this about a business that they deal with.
    This thread can finally be over!!! YAY
    Now I can focus on posts describing the fun I am having, and posts that help me with the little things that (unfortunately) are sure to arise along the way during ownership. :)
