Hello guys, I'm back to work. It's an afternoon trackday for some, wish I could be there but I had work to do. It's supposed to be holiday for some but I'm totally flat out....my last night drive up Genting was kind of dejavu. Wasn't even looking ahead but simply swerved the car left & right uphill using the reflectors as guide since there were little street lamps, taking the shortest lines possible and when I reached the room the brain was still telling my body to drive! It was like living on a boat for few days....
Of the 40+ cars that turned up I think only two or three were SVs excluding mine & 4-5 Aventadors. The rest are variants of Gallardos. I wonder how do they handle in the mountains as you'll usually find the flaws in them & yourself once you do a round trip to Genting. Wonder how many Lambos are registered in Singapore by now, 200+? or perhaps left on the road will be better.
possibly ... tho the options in the airbus are much more than the cost of the aircraft ... and that's a LOT ...
But then again, one thing about the Arabs, they don't think twice about flaunting their wealth. Who knows what secret military stuff that particular A380 might have on board, for "personal protection"..
I think Brinchang is in Cameron highlands & yes, that's a good ground to test cars as the newer northern route is wider & faster. If I recall Genting is more steep but too many speed bumps, the only fun parts are the up & down winding route between Gohtong jaya to the 2nd/last polis post & for the climb, after the last polis post all the way up. Also the northern route towards Mt Fraser is a good drive. Bkt Tinggi just after Genting towards Kuantan is a little low to fully enjoy hillclimbs. There are many hilly areas in Malaysia to enjoy driving.
Hmm, has Obama ever visited Singapore? Think Bush jnr did it once & the roads were closed just for him shuttle to the airport.
did you guys get to party in their new Vip ktv lounge? got private pole dancers and high tech ipad type screens for song selection? rooms are real sound proofed. Nobody knows what really happens behind those glass walls....
