Doubt we'll ever see such shows again, what with liability and the PC crowd etc.

    So enjoy the video :)

It's probably loud as hell but apart from that I wasn't all that impressed. The Red Bull acrobatic helicopter really can put on a show. It's not nearly as close but it does some very impressive stuff.

I watched it all... looks like it takes place in Australia or ??

Could not do that in the US for sure.

The Red Bull video is only tolerable with the sound off... seen it before... once is enough.

The bit with the rescue helicopters? Guess I'm just a bit jaded, it's a lot of wind and noise but as long as you let the cable ground out before grabbing there is nothing really shocking about it.

There have been a series of military air show and flyby incidents which have changed the environment for things. The B-52 crash in Spokane many years ago and the much more recent C-17 crash in Alaska have clearly demonstrated the dangers of just letting people make up their own routine.

Another incident which didn't get a lot of press but got a lot of people in trouble was the flyover of Kinnick Stadium back in 2010. If I remember correctly one of the aircraft cleared the stadium by 35 feet. Not a lot of room when the aircraft itself is 40 feet long.

Occasionally people have been able to get away with some real stunts

The F-18 in the last clip looked scarier than the T-38s!

Yeah, it's from a while back. Not sure how Navy is nowadays but if it were Air Force the guy would be absolute toast.
