Doing that is tempting. However, it's not fair to folks selling cars to let him criticize without any foundation. Does anyone know who he is?
Actually it doesn't have 20,000 miles, you made that up to. Or do you think 16,203 equals 20,000. Danny, BTW, I'm not bashing Scuds (I own one). You are running down the desirability of the car by saying things like at 20K miles, it's done. It may not be your intention, but anyone believing the stuff you write will stay away from buying a Scud.
Also the car is at $159 right now.. Does anyone know where the $150 came from? Did I miss something or is it listed elsewhere @ $150?
The car was driven approx. 5333.33 miles per year if we count only three yrs of ownership. You call that rough? Someone decided to drive his car and enjoy the fruits of his labor, and sold it according to the miles put on the car. The price of 159k (not 150k) is a reflection on the conditions of the car and miles. It does not mean the car is damaged in any way. That is all we are saying. I bought my 2009 scud in June with 20,000 k on the odometer. The price reflected the miles on the car, but the overall condition of the car was excellent. I paid less for the car, and when I decide to sell it, they will pay me less for the car. It's all relative, and my car by no means is damaged goods.
I called the Dealer this morning and asked a few questions. They said they would get back to me - I have yet to hear from them... I wonder if that means anything, just saying..
Do you personally know the previous owner(s)? Yeah, I didn't think so. I own a Scud too buddy, the last thing I would do is put it down and try to "ruin" the "real" value. Depending on the in-service date, this car could have been owned and driven for 3-4 years. That means 4-5k per year. Not a lot of miles, ESPECIALLY if owned in an all year warm climate state with no snow or winters. Ah yes, but you are the one making up stories once again that this car has 20k on the odometer. Again, it doesn't have 20k on it. And furthermore, you nearly embarrass me as not only a Scuderia owner, but owning a Ferrari at all. For as much untruths you speak of about other peoples personal or prospective cars, you should have been banned by now. Unbelievable you are Sir!
Thank you! Might just do that, but....... it's almost comical reading (or trying to due to all the grammatical errors) some of his ridiculous posts.
Yes, 09scud's grammar is really bad. I don't even understand some of his posts. His ulterior motive has always been to pump up the value of his car. He does this with everything from bogus production numbers to out right trolling in the 458 section. Oh, and Danny. No one is bashing the Scuderia. We all here love the car.
Yep my Grammar sucks but i get my point across some how, i think your getting to much heat where your from you should cool down abit yourself,
Are you quite sure he owns a Scud? Or any Ferrari? Or anything? Check his posts from a couple-three years ago. He has been, for months at a time. And he always comes back to stir the pot. And the pot always responds.
Lol... no! Other thread about 75 miles Scuderia for sale makes me think of the other low mile car that I missed out on. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=355310 I think my next car gonna be Scud again but with cooler color and 09 because carbon package on 09s are badassery. Talk about Nuovo Rosso, GET THIS!!!! http://www.ferrarisiliconvalley.com/cars/inventory/preowned/2010-ferrari-599-xx---nuevo-rosso-scuderia--black.aspx
I didn't read this whole thread but when I researched F430 prices (not Scuds) I did a spreadsheet and found that ASKING prices (based on linear regression) decreased by about $2.70 a mile. This, at least for me, eliminated the outliers from contention (all other things being equal of course). Very easy to do and most cars actually fell very close to this prediction rule. One could do the same for Scuds but I doubt the result would be much different.
Since somebody bumped this, I did a short (20 minute or so) market survey about a month ago for the low end of the market using 4 sites. Came up with 8 cars with ASK prices $190k and below, with miles from 2k to 18k (only 3 of them had 10k or more miles). 3 of them were at authorized dealers. This Winter will be very telling.
Gotta make sure you weed out the FDE and accident cars...there were at least 2 recently on the market. Lol at this one: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=93678223&listingRecNum=122&criteria=sf1Dir%3DASC%26mkId%3D20014%26stkTyp%3DU%26bsId%3D20203%26mdId%3D21119%26rd%3D100000%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId-bsId%26zc%3D94080%26rn%3D100%26PMmt%3D1-1-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dprice%26requestorTrackingInfo%3DRTB_SEARCH%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26isDealerGrouping%3Dfalse%26rpp%3D50%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=national&listType=1
There's a very good formula for Scud pricing somewhere on the forum. Starting point is $185 with additions and subtractions for color, options, stripe, carbon, FDE, mileage, etc. The mileage part was $2/mi for the first 10,000, then $1/mile. My Scud isn't for sale. ;-)
Alwin, why the lol with this one... is it the stripes? I'm assuming they're graphics because of how they go through the spoiler as well huh?
IIRC, this one was for sale in Scottsdale about a year ago with 1/3 to 1/2 less miles at an ask north of $200K. It was I think at the Scottsdale Bentley dealership at the time. Its still in Scottsdale, only now being sold at the Scottsdale Porsche dealership. I came across it when I was shopping for Scuderias last Summer/Autumn. I was at Scottsdale Ferrari looking at another Silver one (with Grigio Silverstone stripe, not Italian stripe), and the sales rep asked if I wanted one with Italian stripe instead, and he said he could easily get one. Why? Because Scottsdale Bentley, Scottsdale Ferrari, and Scottsdale Porsche are all Penske dealerships!!! DL
