Mine will still be an 85-90 pt driver (up from the -70 pts it was when I brought it). At least it will pass the 10 ft rule.
1. Geno (Jalpa) 2. Chairpilot (308 qv) 3. Miketuason (308 qv) 4. Mike's friend (328) 5. Brian Harper (308 qv) 6. Chrisbinsb (308 qv)
I'll be there, sadly sans my 308. I will, however, take a ton of photos and will post them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27241061@N07/
I'm trying to figure out what to squeeze into the trunk of my 308 for the trip up.. I've got a folding chair that will fit - anyone know if CI is set up such that a chair is good to have? Or not really.
It was just brought to my attention that another car in my garage was designed my Marcello Gandini at Bertone. I am very surprised to find out as it does not look like any other Bertone design. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_5_Turbo Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think so too! Michele at Concorso Italiano just said that they have already started marking the field (starting at the Centerpiece Display) and it's too late to ad the Renault.
Me too. Patrick, your car was at Ferrari days in May at Laguna Seca, correct. Really cool. Loved those cars when in Europe in the mid 80s, I remember my dad looking for one to import, never happened though. Loved the scene in the sort of bond movie Never Say Never Again with Barbara Carrera driving one trying to get away from Connery. Very nice!
Crap. The 308's lower cam drive bearing took a dump. My car is not going to the show after all. Now my passenger is my driver and we'll be in his sweet 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV.
I will be my 1st time to be at CI, I registered my 328 for displaying, any tips, please? Does displaying mean park the car in the parking lot? I was too busy with other things almost missed the date thinking it was on Saturday. Thanks.
The "parking lot" is the fairway and greens of the golf course. You will be directed where to park and that will be in the sea of 3X8s. When the parking directors are good the 308s are separated from the 328s, sometimes the GT4s get their own group. Some people lock their cars others don't. The crowd is very respectful, don't expect any issues.
1:00 sounds good. Can someone put a tag on Patrick's car so we don't mistake it for a Pantera? Mike, his nephew and I will be there in our 308's, fresh from an awesome twisties run up Hwy 1 early today. Tonight we had a great meal at L'Escargot in Carmel. see y'all in about 12 hours at CI. Just downloading my photos from the Pebble Tour through Carmel and from a couple receptions (Infiniti and Hagerty).
