    Well after five weeks today I had my LOE and earned my 757/767 type rating. It was a lot of work and all of the studying really paid off as the APD said I did a great job.

    I just hope that you don't mind the fact that a fellow FChatter (me!) helped design the 767! (Along with about 10,000 others, of course, including Bob Parks.)

    Thanks guys! Well if you read any of the airline hate rants in the silver section I don't think I'll reveal the company I work for, that way you won't automatically hate me. LOL. I don't think we're going to move for a while due to my son being a junior in HS this year. As to you guys who work for Boeing you guys rock! I've been an S/O on the 727 and 747-200. I also got a 737 type. In addition I was fortunate enough to fly perhaps the greatest Boeing of them all for 20 years. That's the KC135, I flew the A, D, E, and R models (mostly R).

    Ak, I worked on all those that you mentioned and I have many many good memories of the KC-135 program and a lot anecdotal incidents that I will never forget. I was amazed at looking in the wheel well of a KC-135 a few years ago and seeing the hydraulics were the same as when they were installed 55 years ago. I even remembered some of the installation drawing numbers. That is one tough and durable airplane. Attached is my latest profile of good ol' 55-3118, the number one KC-135

    I had a hand in building a few 767's way back when.
    Built like a tank.
    Not real fast but a solid performer.

    Now entering a second life as a tanker to replace the KC-135.
