I completed the collection of 1:43 models of my three Dinos today. All I need to do now is to get the full size versions completed and back on the road :)

Hopefully my Rosso Dino car will be ready by the end of next week after 8 months of stripdown and restoration. I just dropped my first car off at the bodyshop to be put back into it's original Bianco Polo Park. It's just completed having it's interior retrimmed into the original Skai vinyl interior.

The last car is currently in a sorry state and painted in Rosso Corsa but will start it's restoration in November and be going back into it's original Verde Germoglio colour.

Do you have some photos of your cars during restoration? Many thanks.

I have lots of photos of the Rosso Dino car going through it's restoration. I was going to start a thread detailing it but haven't got around to it as yet. Here are a few sample shots of the body after the initial strip down to bare metal which were taken back in March. The car was completely original with no body repairs at all prior to this restoration and was in remarkably good condition considering it had never been touched. Corrosion had set in to all of the usual places however and the running gear and engine were long overdue some serious attention. All of the body filing marks made by the workers at Scaglietti were very evident when the paint was removed and every panel/hinge on the car had the body number marked on them.

The bodyshop I'm using are absolutely superb. Their premises may not look great but the standard of work they turn out is better than anything else I've seen in the UK and they know Dinos inside out after working on them for over 25 years. Their attention to detail is fantastic.

Interesting detailed photos. Thank you for sharing them. The rust is the enemy on these cars.
