    Hi guys,

I'm heading down to the NYC area next week with a friend who's visiting from England. We'll be bringing two of my f-cars down.

I've stayed in NYC hundreds of times, but always taking the shuttle down from Boston and always in random business hotels from the Sheraton-Hilton-Doubletree etc collection of hotels.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in particular in Manhattan to stay that would have secure parking? Or am I better just booking a boutique hotel and parking the cars in a mid-town garage. If so any particular garages that anyone would recommend?

He's never been to Manhattan, so we're going to hit some nice restaurants and see some nightlife :)

    TIA for any tips.

    Cheers,

    Dan

:) will probably be 16-17-18 July. I'm at LRP for the FCA event on the Friday/Saturday, so we're working out entertainment for the week right now.

Me too - I am in the same situation driving my 360 spider down with a buddy from Boston to NYC this Thursday night to meet up with some friends and have some fun. I was hoping to find a hotel with rock star parking similar to how cars park up front overnight at the Four Seasons in Boston. Are there hotels in NYC with cul-de-sac like entrances allowing cars to pull in off the street and leave them up front but sort of off to the side or out of the way of cabs and people picking up?

Another point, our friends are staying at the Alex hotel at 3rd and E. 45th. If there is something nearby that has overnight parking in front of the hotel lobby, that would be great. Cost of hotel is not an issue.

I have a similar question and wondering if anyone here has any recommendation.

Garage with not too steep entrance/exit would work as well. I'm planning to stay around SoHO or Tribecca. Thanks gents.

Time warp! In the 5 years since the op, New York has run out of parking space.

Kidding... I'm also interested in this response.

I use a garage at 425 East 58th Street. They have some later, ie lower, Ferraris they store. NYC streets are inconsistant at best in terms of potholes and quality. This place is three blocks off the FDR, the parkway that runs along the east shore of Manhattan..

I'm taking my Murci into the city over the next week. I'll report back with findings, but what I did do is call hotels prior and speak with a manager regarding parking accommodations.

For SoHo try using the garage on Wooster between Grand and Canal. The guys are cool and will take care of the car. I use it for my RS and no issues.

Be careful as most people have no real idea how low these car and how they don't do well even minor lips that the normal car won't even notice. Best bet is to have someone who really knows and parks their car somewhere to tell you were to park. If you drive on FDR or WSH, be careful of the low manhole covers and drains which tend to be in the fast lanes. Good luck.

I agree when I drive to work on the FDR I only drive in the middle lane as the wheels on my E550 bend from the slightest low drain and the sidewalks get dangerous bubbles.
