    I was at work in a lab at UAB and my girlfriend called me to ask if I had heard the news. I had not. Left a little early to catch the news on TV and run a tape (no internet then).

    I recorded all three networks and CNN's segments. Still have them.

    I´m surprised to hear that the Old Man´s death appeared on the news in the United States.

    I´d thought that, apart from the car magazines and the Italian media, his death would only be a footnote for the rest of the world.
