Hey guys, I was wondering what is the best turn or straightaway to buy my Formula 1 tickets? Which will be the most exciting?

I think that there are lots of good seats, you almost need to select based on price. I'm at turn 2. High turn 1 probably has the best view, but 12 and 15 look pretty good too.

I was planning on turn 12 but its sold out. Not sure how smooth the first year will be so I'm going for general admission & find a grassy area, not sure if we can bring in folding chairs.

I'm general admission, figured that was the best way to see a lot of the track.

I think we will do general admission also. It is going to bring a world class event to Austin.
But I do remember the traffic fiasco at the first Texas Motor Speedway race getting out of Southlake.... I mean Ronoake. :))
People were stuck n traffic for 8 hours just to get out of the parking lot. I hope the F1 group is better prepared.

As has been said here, lots of sections are sold out, including General Admission. If you want to go, you better get your tickets now.

"There will be two official COTA park-and-ride shuttle locations: one at the corner of 15th and Trinity in downtown Austin, the other at the Travis County Exposition Center on 7311 Decker Lane. These shuttle buses will be the sole mode of transportation to and from the track for the majority of our guests. Volunteer duties may include directing people to the appropriate lines, answering questions, providing information, problem solving, and performing a soft security check for prohibited items. Many volunteers will ride with passengers on the shuttle to further assist guests while in transit. "

    That would be awesome!

Would love to this year, but not ready to take off any time for work, but I may volunteer next year. Any idea what you'll be doing?

That first spot is within walking distance of my place, which is really making me consider trying to rent it out for the weekend.

I heard from someone working for Formula 1 that if you bring your iPad to the race, you can access their wireless network and watch the race from different cameras. Has anyone else heard this? If so is there an article about it or anything?
