The Campaign w/Ferrell and Galifinakis. I was anticipating a dud but it rolled along well. Over the top as expected and a slow start, however it picked up a quarter of the way in with some solid hilarious bits. Zac borrows a little too much off his character from the Robert Downey comedy, Due Date.

    My way. 9/10

incredible battle scenes, perhaps the best I've ever scene. Very explicit and detailed - absolute must see for these scenes alone. Puts saving private Ryan to shame.

Based on true events, I only wonder how closely as it is an incredible story of the two central characters over many years.

This is a a Japanese subtitled/directed movie but that didn't bother me the least and I won't think it will you either as it isn't over scripted.

Just watched this the other day myself. I too thought it was very good, but I still think SPR is a better film. Certainly shot better. My Way was horribly shot in my opinion. All shots are about 2 seconds long, and I find that very distracting. Longer shots are harder, but allow you to take in a scene better. Plus, the shaky-cam style almost made me sick while reading subtitles over a constant moving background. Still a good film, just could have been done better.

Marion Cottillard as the vilain? Seriously? Very lame. The movie was fun visually but i still prefer Tim Burton's Batman with Nicholson and Keaton.

That is Will Sasso and even though I have yet to see the Stooges movie I could tell just from the previews he was the perfect actor to portray Curly. He also does a mean Elvis:

The only topic missing in that video is when he talked about gravy, I almost soiled myself laughing so hard.

The Hunger Games. I didn't read the book but I must say I enjoyed the movie a fair bit. Good story line with some twists included. I would recommend watching it but some people have said the book is much better than the movie.

No comparison the book was far superior, more violent and graphic. Watch the Japanese film battle Royale if u want to see how the movie version of hunger games should have been.

Don't get your expectations too high. Damon>renner. Lmk if you think ending was too abrupt like I did.

Ignore the negative comments, see the Stooges. Have to qualify, though...I'm right in the middle of the generation that grew up on them.

finally watched Kill Bill 1 & 2... and i'm glad i did, definitely my favorite Tarantino film (i was never a big Pulp Fiction fan). great visuals, great action, good story even if it's a bit hard to follow at times, Uma Thurman is FTW as the bride, etc. highly recommend to any action, or anime especially, fan that has never watched it.

also watched Truth In 24 this morning. fantastic documentary on the 24 hours of le mans. if you haven't seen it, definitely try to find it. www.truthin24.com has a free download for the sequel produced recently but it's an iTunes only download and i don't use iTunes so i'm trying to find another way to get it. the original is great though, focusing on the Audi team at the 2008 race. what a fantastic story to watch unfold. i have a new life goal: i have to attend at least one 24 of Le Mans before i die!

    Saw them both.

Bourne was better than I expected.

Expendables didn't do it for me. Too much of a good thing, I suppose. Never thought I could get bored with gunfights, explosions and gore, but I did. It just seemed too long.

constant noise is tiresome and boring. there needs to be an emotional connection to the action on screen (think the first vader/skywalker faceoff in empire strikes back) to emphasize what's happening on the screen. when a person doesn't care about the characters and they seem to be practically invincible... it quickly becomes boring. nostalgia is not enough by itself. a better written plot (from what i've heard) and real stakes the audience cares about would go a long way to making that kind of movie better. i realize the target audience is the people who enjoyed that type of movie back in the 80's but it was a different time. now, that hokey-ness just doesn't do the trick

Thanks for the feedback mate. I've watched Expendables, and for some reason..it's my type of movie! I enjoyed the brief comical stuff played by the characters, and the people in the cinema actually cheered for Arnold and Chuck Norris.

I'll probably catch Bourne this weekend!
