    Did the Dino come with a "Ferrari" script? I have a script that was removed from car#05530, A '74 246GTS "C&F". Gt Car parts in Arizona says that Dino's did not come with that script. Anybody know ? The emblem I have is a two pin(threaded) 7 & 3/4" long chrome over brass.Thanks for any info on this.

    No, the original Dino badging didn't say Ferrari at all.

    The nose badge was a horizontal rectangle reading "Dino" as well.

    It was a dealer retro fit under a Technical Bulletin to add the Ferrari stuff, as sales were not as expected.

    To the best of my knowledge the Ferrari script was just put on the 308gt4 starting in 1976. The 246 never saw the script.

    This is more accurate, the Tech Bulletin was for the Dino GT4.

    Not sure if you mean tech bulletin 266/8 relates to the series 1 Ferrari Dino 308gt4 where dealers were instructed to mount a Ferrari prancing horse badge above the Dino badge on the nose of the car.

    For what it's worth Wayne Corini of Chasing Classic Cars made the mention of the Ferrari script being a dealer added piece on Dino's in a show he did that featured a 12,000 mile 246GT.

    As I recall, that was more of a European add on than American at the time.
