It will be interesting to see what you find. "Perfect" cars seem to go for a large premium-- from recent sales, driver BBs are well under $100k, but I imagine a "perfect" car will go for $150, maybe?

Also, what is your definition of "perfect?" There are lots of cars which appear perfect and yet will be terrible drivers, and vice versa.

I would not say my car is perfect but it can be so easily.
Late 84 with 17 inch wheels ,suspension mods ,three exhaust systems and all original wheels ,exhaust and parts available with it ,one owner and mso from the importer(dmv let me keep it as a souvenir)
Built sheets ,special order from factory and transported here by plane a week after it was built with all documentation.
Original car,no restorations.... and I would be curious if you look what is out there if there is much better.
Prize according to a good home....
Fresh engine out service done 20 miles ago finished this summer.
    100% all euro trim.
Original ferrari stereo and equalizer, original ignition, interior, paint, all the way down to brake pads......
    145k,extra parts are worth 10-15 k
Personal reasons keep me from driving the car so it has been collected and maintained in over two decades in the proper environmental which maintained the car to look and perform in condition close to new.

Thank you for the kind words.

I am doing fine, and the truth is I have never tried to sell the car really bad yet as I only posted here when ever I debated of letting it go.
I will miss looking at it since I had it for over twenty years now.
The car has not had a registration in order to be driven for many years and all I do is change all fluids every year and just did another belt service ....amazing how seven years fly by....I was thinking of selling then also but I think it will be best if it goes to someone that will use it and drive it.
It is an ideal car to collect also as I have done, which is very involved to start and warm up monthly and keep it in great running order.
Recently I got a thirty day permit to drive it a couple of times to make sure all is great after service and the attention it gets is too overwhelming.......it seems after all these years a nice looking BB creates a much stronger impression than they did many years ago.

I know a seller who have the best BB that i've ever seen!...
    But it's in Italy...
Anyhow i give you the link where you can see some photos:
    http://www.autoluce.com/IT/autofull.php?id=1332436366#!prettyPhoto
The price...€185K. The car is fully restored.
Ah, i saw it live...is different than seeing the photos...
I know, this must been the price for a 365 BB, not a 512 BB, but this car is almost perfect; look the photos.
Or i know others BB for sale now, but always here in Italy...but these have prices more down; near the €120-130K...
If you want i give you the photos also of those.

And there lies the question... what is "Perfect"? Then break that down to a "Survivor" or "Restored", the prior having more value, at least to myself.

Yesterday I (check that, Kris and Jenni) bought the finest example of a BBi that I have seen in many decades. My problem, its Too good, first car I have ever owned worthy of attending serious shows with. That does me no good as I dont 'show' cars but maybe Kris and Jenni will want to. As you point out Don, a 'perfect show car' has no place in my garage, a solid runner that shows well... that is my requirement.... err... 'want'. Mine is an exceptional driver that also happens to be Extremely correct and original which then proves a disincentive to enjoy it as intended.

I feel the Sleeper status of the BBi is quickly coming to an end as there is no valid reason for it to be that way. It is a nimble, powerful car that shows exceptionally well, is very interesting to look at, and is easy and comfortable to drive with few ill habits. Jenni drove ours to a show this last weekend and simply loved the drive and the experience, even while in city traffic. We bought this one because I enjoy the model a great deal and it was a dear friend's car. If the values rise, which I strongly suspect they will on very good examples, great. If they dont... fine, makes no difference to me.

I suspect the compromise plan with the ladies will be to show it a time or two and then once that is done I can use it as intended. That will then require me to get one of the race cars finished so I have something to do when they are at a show Or find an umbrella, a comfortable chair, and a glass of wine because I dont clean cars with a toothbrush... my job is to fix them!

Just another old red car where they happened to run out of Red Paint before the job was done. I will see if there is time to get it out in the sun today to take some pic's.

It was sitting for a number of years since last run yet fired up instantly with about 3 revolutions of the engine. Belts, hoses.... are all long overdue and I need to focus on that before the car is enjoyed. A heartbreaking story but one I am honered to be a part of, it has now found as loving a home as it came from...... I am still pealing the girls off the ceiling from this!

I believe an original car in great shape mechanically and aesthetically that does not need anything is by far worth a lot more than the same car that is not original and restored.
Also this the car that can be evaluated the easiest since it will be unmolested.....
This is my opinion and I am sure only the ones with original cars will agree.

Lets see photos from some original cars here !!!!!

Guess what, in several years it's gonna need everything AGAIN so just buy one for $75k instead of paying for it twice. That's my opinion and i'm sticking to it :)

Gentleman, gentleman. The OP wants the best available it sounds like.

    Prepare yourself well.

My first Fererari was a Daytona. It was perfect. ... Mechanically.

Cosmetically, she had more than that beautiful old patina. She had alligator skin on the nose where she had more than the original paint. Still everyone loved her honesty.

Meanwhile I had to know, just as her current knew (we talked), she harbored rust somewhere. He did a top flight restoration.
