What happened to EMI in Goose Creek?

If he is PACKED with business this would be an indication that he does GREAT business. It's like eating at a restaurant that has no wait as opposed to a wait. There is a reason people are willing to wait for the food. Good luck with your car.

To any of you whom care to know who owns European Import Specialists, we will be more than happy to let you know. We are a new company and are in no way connected to the prior owners in any way. We saw a business opportunity become available and took advantage of the opportunity presented to us.

Last time we checked it was not a crime to open a new business, we cannot be responsible for what the prior company did or didn't do, nor it is fair for anyone to state that we are connected to EMI in any way when you have no idea what you are talking about.

It is unprofessional for other company's to be making comments about companies that are in the same line of work or for that matter any company-it's plain bad for business

For those of you whom have never made a typo when listing things it must be nice to be perfect.

We are honest, hard working people, trying to make a living just like the rest of the world. If we can't work on a particular vehicle we have no problems referring them to a company in the area that can do the work for them.

We assisted alot of people(customers) in the return of their vehicles and any other parts, etc. that belong to them that where located on the property. They were welcome to look around the property for anything they where missing from their vehicle.

We have been open 1 1/2 months and are working very hard to re-earn the trust from customers, that we ourselves did not damage. We knew it would be alot of hard work when we opened in the same location and choose the name we choose. To date we have repaired 74 vehicles and noone has had to bring their vehicle back for the repairs we have completed for them.

So please let us run our business as you run yours, without negative comments about a new business that can damage our future success, negative comments about owners or a company you don't know and are just speculating things about. We are not badmouthing other company's please provide us with the same courtesy.

1) you chose to move into a building that has a dubious past
2) you chose a name that is similar to the prior business.
3) you have no website that plainly lists the owners of your business with pictures of the owners to differentiate yourselves from the prior owner.

Given the above dont' be surprised that people may have incorrect assumptions about your business... especially given the dubious business practices of prior businesses at your address.

Well put. At the same time, we had a referral today that drove all the way from VA to get their car modified. Internet info took them to your location. When he arrived and asked for me he was told I did not work there. No other info was made available. If he had not been persistent in finding me we would have never seen him.

You say that we don't know you--well you are free to come on this board, introduce yourself and tell us all about you. You are free to provide any information you want. Many of us on the board take our cars to Karl because (1) he does good work, (2) he come highly recommended, (3) he is honest and (4) we love talking cars with him--he has gasoline in his veins. If you have similar traits, you will be welcomed with open arms--there is enough business to go around.

You will find this community accepting and forgiving, if you are sincere and honest. On the other hand don't try to get cute and be less than honest. There are many on this board who are pretty good at verifying things, so please be forewarned that you have to earn your stripes here.

= Not Cool! If you're confident in your product, you can feel safe referring to others.

 

Sounds to me like the name has changed, but the attitude is the same. Pity...

 

Dickweeds..."Let them come out, so that we may know them". One of my favorite passages as it has a very dubious meaning. Chris may be finding this out about right now.

If they are dishonest, just saying the word if, then maybe they will also find out.

From what I read, it looks a lot like the new owners have some sort of connection with Chris Felber. Hence the lack of name change and "defensive" attitude. The first thing anyone else would have done is change the business name and paint the walls. Just my observation. Something here smells very fishy.

 

After I had more than my fill of the "monkey business" at EMI and had to guess whether or not my paycheck was good I agreed to sell Chris Felber;
2 work benches(one with a Wilton vise)
1 Miller TIG welder w/all attachments including Argon tank
Several drawers of Ferrari specific hardware
Many OEM Ferrari parts
A vacuum pump for composite work.
I was not paid for any of these items. I have text messages promising payment.
If these items were abandoned by Felber and now in the hands of the new owner would they be willing to get them back to me? They could even give any of these items to Karl to hold for me. I do not want to get Karl involved but I would trust him to act on my behalf. I will be back in SC for the Holidays.

 

We all trust Karl, but I don't think it appropriate to involve him in your affairs with Felber.
