Hi, thanks for this - really interesting. You'd said previously that your QV DD was one VIN away from Jay Leno's, so at a guess your QV DD was FLA12914? Thank you very much for the Photos from the UK - 10 UK Countachs in one photo! That'd be a challenge these days. Heaven.

12916 sounds like it. Jay's is 12917. I'm on summer vacation with family so I have no access to records but one of these days I will confirm it.

Isn't that Max Bobnar's twin turbo with a beautiful repaint and side skirts? I believe other pics from that same book shows the red cross sticker he had on his windshield. Always wondered how that car ran, and what happened to it.

thanks, Joe, you explained everything. I still consider that 275 K pounds - 344 k Euro - 431 k USD - 5000S a nonsense without the P7 as without them the car is no more as came out of the factory and that is the car plus value. Really a nonsense. I'm sure it has really few miles, but 700 km-450 miles means that nobody ever drove it. I'm still a bit skeptical,as the car will look the same if it hat 7000 km, but it could be possible of course: i trust you.

You can take a 200K miles old one destroyed in a crash and then burned and restore it like this, mint and like new.
A know of a blue QV car that looks incredible like this, mint and new: they changed all the front part of the pipe spaceframe, all the front part of the body, repainted the car from zero and Paratelli rebuilted every single piece of interiors. Where is the difference? Paratelli did the OEM interiors, and why cannot redone it like new?

I hope to see one day that RHD black 5000S that looks really fantastic: that would be the first i see that's look better than mine... ;-) but it's a RHD so my 5000 S still could still be the best LHD 5000S i have ever seen, and i do not keep it concealed in a temperature controlled room... :)

    Of course i'm joking, Joe.

I'm happy to see that car has the same radio i have: you are right, that's the benchmark.

    ciao

If I saw that car in a blur I'd probably call it a replica b/c of the wheels; they look replicar-ish to me.

Not a pic of my car as requested but a pic of the engine and i just love this shot. While it was being serviced we stuck on the trumpets before re fitting the air cleaners for no other reason than it just looks cool.

One of 21 one page 1980s Supercar profiles in Performance Car 1987.

I can't believe this was 25 years ago!! If anyone can identify the car, I'd appreciate it as it's a mystery to me which car this is. It was w RHD red QV with a light interior supplied to the magazine by Portman Lamborghini (no surprise) but that is all I know about it.
