What type of exhaust is he running? The mufflers look like they are running longitudinally with the car.

    Just think:

50 cars were made with Bravos.

Now perhaps 100 exist with them on.

Soon, there will be 1,000 with them on.

    Good times.

The gentleman also owned a RHD white Miura SV and I believe he lived in Switzerland for a time.

I wondered if the white SV was miurasv's father's car? There can't have been many white SVs in the UK.

I have all of those. They just don't seem capable of producing covers like that these days, they have to plaster them with loads of text. We had some great magazines in the UK back then, with Supercar Classics and Performance Car to name two others.

The car that I'm looking for was definitely not turquoise. It was a light blue like or similar to the picture of the one I posted from Top Motors. It could also have been metallic like Tahiti blue.
These are the details I know:
    Saudi plates
    London
    Light blue exterior
    White interior
    Late 83 or early 84

Out of curiosity when was the Tahiti blue Ex Saudi Prince's car imported into the USA? Was the two tone white and blue paintwork done at Lamborghini or was it painted at a later date?
Did the prince himself import it or was it sold to someone prior to it going to the US?
Was the car registered in the USA when it reached there or did it run on Saudi plates for a while as is common with Royalty who take their cars abroad with them.

Sorry for all these questions but I'm trying to figure out if it could be the same car. There could not have been too many light blue Saudi Countaches made.

    Regards

I don't know the chassis number but the car was owned by a gentleman called Barry Robinson.

Just to clarify, Jay F collected 1121038 on behalf of the Saudi Prince in April 1979 and he put it on a plane for LAX days later. It went straight to his Laguna Beach home, and it stayed in California till the mid-80s, then to Nevada. It never left the USA and is still here.

Methinks that Barry Robinson's Countachs EVENTUALLY all wore the BR33 plates

Actually you are right. At the time of the December, 1986 Performance Car article comparing the white Miura SV and the Countach QV it was a gentleman called Campbell McLaren that owned the Countach C323 BYV. Portman Lamborghini were selling it for him and asking £65,000.

Yet to be confirmed but I think my car was 12916 and it was delivered new via Portmans to Michael W Forrest of St Helier, Jersey in the Channel Islands. More when I know...

So the Countach QV C323BYV in hte Performance Car one page that I posted and that was tested with the white Miura SV was Barry Robinson's QV, before it wore the plate "BR33"?
