Id like to see what you come up with.. Are you thinking of the kind that mounts to your back tire?

    Yup, exactly.

I see the price range from $100-$400 for some models.

I was thinking of buing ProForm's Tour de France bike with Google maps, but at $1,300? No thanks.

My biek cost me $800 and I'll probably spend another $200 or so on the trainer. Might as well save the money and have a bike that I can ACTUALLY take outdoors!

Specialized SL3 with Di2 electric shifting, Zipp 404 tubular wheels, and SRM crank. A few years ago I was a few points away from being Cat 1 after winning a few Cat 2 crits but then life, fellowship, and kids took over and I bounce between Masters A and Pro-1-2 races based on time of day and elevation gain during race. I am more of a sprinter and dislike long races with the young bucks when there are lots of hills involved.
    Keep it rubber side down.

Specialized makes a great bike; there were no SL4 S-Works to be had anywhere in town when I was shopping. I hear you with hills - did a 2,400m , 80km, charity ride yesterday ; won by a 47 yo cat1. it can be done, takes a lot of hours.

I've got an older Trainer I need to get rid of - can post pics if anyone's interested. replaced it with a new one with Power readout and a wide more solid base for the high watt drills.

Thanks! Turns out I have a guy at work who owns a couple of bikes and rides tons of miles so he's going to hook me up with a bike shop so I can get the proper fit, etc...I will be looking at the trek as I like the vette reference lol....

Nice! I've always really liked that paint scheme. You may want to check your Wolf fork though, I think Cervelo had a recall on them a while back, not sure on which specific model.

Ordered a new S-Works Shiv Di-2. Going to be another 3 weeks before the bike is done.
While I am waiting the shopped loaned me a bike I thought I would share.

The unfinished carbon and looks sinister

No I believe it is an Orbea Ordu. The bike belongs to Shimano as a show bike so they stripped any signs of Orbea off it.
    The electronic shifting is unreal
