The one-77 is to me (and by far) the most beautiful of all supercars. Probably won´t be as good as the others in terms of handling but that v12 sound it´s amazing, and the design of the cars is simply off the charts!! I think you can by some cars just for it´s looks, the one-77 and the Alfa 8c are a couple of them. Of course the 8c it´s not in the same league (price wise) but i can´t find anything more apealing for it´s price.
So is the new F70 going to be a front engined V12 like the one-77? I suspect not! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's an interesting design promblem to ponder. Look at Ferrari's new one off. Note the "Air Bridge" as they used on the F12. http://magazine.ferrari.com/blog/2012/08/silent-passion/ Note how air was ducted past narrowed fenders and smaller windhields in 66. The New Enzo will have a full width windshield. It will be interesting to see if they use an "Air Bridge". Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think the airbridge works well in the f12 because the engine cover is so long...(aestheticly) speaking and aerodinamicly too). With a mid engine car, you get a much shorter front, i´m not sure that the space between the front wheel and the door is enougth to make it work.
After some review of the photos and bypasser commentary I think the new F70 will be a street legal version of the FXX Evo (approx. 860 normally aspirated hp and very light). I'm sure we have all fantisized what it would be like to drive an FXX Evo on normal streets. Looks like a few hundred lucky Ferrarista will finally get their chance. Even at $1M a pop an F70 will be a relative bargain compared to a track only FXX Evo.
In previous posted images, you can see some hints of what could be an airbridge. Or is that something totally different? Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'm not sure what the price will be but I just read an article on Ferrari's profit. They are up 13% over last year but Luca said its been a "burden" on Ferrari to develop a new V6 engine for F1. The cost alone to develop such an engine is roughly 75 million dollars. That leads me to believe Ferrari will be looking for more buyers for the F70. I believe anybody who wants one & sincere about not flipping it can probably get one.
Ferrari is not financially "burdened" by F1 costs in anyway. PM provides Ferrari with 200M USD in sponsorship by itself, every year. Ferrari has a license to print money, for how long this is true, remains to be seen. The car will cost more than a 1M euros and they have already 'qualified' 100s of buyers. Ferrari will be building a very specific number of the new super car and then the will be building some....more.
Gets worse when you find out it is just 1.6L and they expect to make 500hp from it. That's certainly within the realm of possibility, but it is hard to imagine how high-strung that engine will be. They are supplementing it with a hybrid drivetrain which will you can assume will provide enough low end torque, but it still seems like a very odd configuration for a hypercar. >8^) ER
480kg 575bhp road legal already exists but nobody cares about it! (I know this is slightly off topic! was attempting miserably to keep up with one at Silverstone the other day, rapid things) I wonder how these cars (f70/2014 jag hyper car) would compare to it on track? None of the new Hyper Cars will have a chance against a Caparo T1 on track as they will all be at least triple the weight. The Caparo weighs less then 500kg (1100lbs).
