Meteo update confirm that it will be mild, not warm. No rain expected.
Today's predictions for the next week-end in Spa (in so far as such thing as a meto prediction for Spa is possible) are

Saturday: sunny, with some clouds, no rain expected; minimal temperature early morning 6°c / 43°F; maximal temperature, middle of afternoon: 15°c / 59°F
Sunday: sunny, very few clouds, no rain expected; minimal temperature early morning 11°c / 52°F; maximal temperature, middle of afternoon: 20°c / 68°F

Ideal for spectators, not for the Lotus drivers...

Mclaren are running a super DRS system this weekend.

It's only a rumor at this point. Nothing confirmed.

    Double DRS, like the Lotus.

It's super in a sense that it unbalances the car! Mclaren and Lotus must have found some reason to look into it further. I believe the crux of Mercedes system is that it is also a passive system at the nose meaning the nose is constantly flowing thus altering normal front end characteristics.

Thanks, well this is what F1 is all about to me, trying to gain a slight edge within the given restrictions.

Trouble is, if it's is a winner, it gets banned or copied, if not, they leave it..;)

Spa is my very favourite race... however, I just so happen to have some friends visiting this weekend and they're completely disinterested in F1. I suspect I'll have to catch the race on BBC iPlayer next week.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
