Hi everyone, i was thinking to the BB series's prices and in spite of the prices of the 365GTB4 Daytona in this last years are increased, the prices of the series BB are always these or are increased in this last times slowly...
And, it's so strange, because a Daytona coast 300K (€), while the value of the BB is much less, infact we can find it on the 100-130 K(€).
The 512BBi, follows like prices her predecessor while the first of the three, the 365 GT4 BB, coast always in euro, about 160-190K (€).
In the last auctions the first series is was sold to prices tall; for example this 365 BB was sold at $220,000!!

    http://www.rmauctions.com/CarDetails.cfm?SaleCode=AM11&CarID=r204

Here there are all the others: http://www.rmauctions.com/AuctionResultsSearch.cfm?parentsection=search&AuctionYear=All&From=&To=&LotNum=&Make=Ferrari&SortBy=AL&Model=365&Sold=All#

So i think when the price of the BB will go up, very up!?
What do you think of this?

P.S. I hope to speak a decent english...

Would you be so kind to introduce yourself here first ?

Are you an owner or maybe you will be one soon ?

It helps if we know where in Europe you are living (f.i. I live in Holland) but most readers are in U.S.A., Canada or Down Under ;)

Hope for you that some F-Chat money Wizzards will stand up now to predict the prices for you ....

In the US, Boxers are even cheaper. I think the last few sales were under $100k (probably less than €80k).

People on here will tell you that a "great" Boxer is $150k, and that may be true, but most Boxers are not "great."

Oh yes, i'm an owner and i've introduced myself in the correct section.
I've the first series of the BB and i'm writing from italy.

Infact! In general, in europe the prices are been more up that in US; but never over €140K for a "normal" BB512 and never over €190 for a 365BB...
And yes, it's difficult find a good BB, probably because they are very little in general...

220 thou dollars is around 176.000 euro's so in line with your on statement on prices, since it seems te be a very good car if I understand the discription correctly.

Yes, more or less the price in euro is correct; but i don't think that it's necessary that a car be in perfect condition...because for me the BB is underestimated...
for example the Dino 246, in my opinion, is overrated!
And i say this because if we consider cars like the Daytona, 365 GTC, or 275 GTB it's not so much important that the car be in perfect condition, because also the cars in normal condition, at the end, are sold at big prices!
It's the general conception of the model that it's in wrong...always in my opinion...

Most boxes as stated are in the 90 to 110 range. Again most of them require attention in order to bring them up to a good standard. It is not impossible to spend 30k on various items such as cooling, suspension, brakes, belts etc. Some of us are more particular and may want to cover off everything that needs attention or may need attention in the every near future. This will edge up the cost even higher.

My feeling is buy the best car you can afford, leave 20 to 30 aside for days when you are bored and think that this might be a good time to cover of the interior and a few other items.

If I was to sell, I would ask 150 to 160 for mine.

    But that is just me.

    Is it a 365BB, right?
    It seems very nice. Compliments.
I don't know in what conditions your BB is, but if it's in good condition or also better, you can also ask more than €160K...always if it's a 365BB.

Absolutely astonishing that the 365BBs and carbed 512s sell for so comparatively little; an absolute steal in my book. A joke that the Dino sell for approximately twice as much, if not more.

    Exactly, i agree with you.
As i said, the BB is undervalued while the Dino 246 is overrated!!
In US i don't know, but in Europe, except for the UK, the Dino usually are sold from 130K to 180K; prices in euro...
It's difficult sell a Dino for more...
Always here, the Dino are sold at the same price of a 365BB but the different is that the BB's value really that, while the Dino not!
For me, with the passing of the time, the BB will be recognized for his real value; that will be more up than today...

It seems in the last six months, there is a buzz about Boxer value at today's prices. Comments in this thread, my Ferrari mechanic (has long history with Boxer's since the beginning), and just car enthusiasts in general have all been singing the same tune that Boxer prices are set to launch upward.

It will be interesting to see what happens. Best guess assuming (and that is all it is) is that Boxer prices rise 30% in the next 2 years. But that is tempered by the fact that the global economy is still a mess.

If I was were I was 7 years ago and looking to buy a Boxer, I would sure be looking hard at the quality cars out there for sale now.

Welcome, Edvard! It is interesting to hear your perspective regarding the Boxer market in Italy and Europe generally.

Yeah, not only in US but also here in Italy and in general in Europe, all the people who are experts of these cars say that in the future the BB's prices will rise!
It's interesting your hypothesis that in the next two years the BB will rise of the 30%...
So, with 30% more, in Italy and in Europe, a good BB will cost near €160K; while accordingly the 365BB will cost near €215-220K.
In US i don't know, but probably, less than in Europe.
Perhaps finally, this car will begin to rise like her predecessor! (the Daytona)
