I'm glad you all like the large 1/8 models. The tiny area of concern was pointed out to me today - apparently there are photos of real cars where this black line behind the window and above the vent is omitted, as per our model. But in any case, this can easily be corrected. Four of these sold today to lucky Lambo enthusiasts. If anyone wants to see hi-res pix, kindly email me at [email protected]

*as a note - most models are built to "Pebble Beach" standards - with glossy paint and perfect fit and finish - unlike most real vintage cars. This is not necessarily accurate, BUT the miniatures do tend to look better this way.......we do offer patinated versions as well for those in need.

Good to know! Added patina is certainly a matter of preference. I like to build mine with nice paint, but slightly used in the engine compartment & chassis for a "driven" look. I don't imagine these are available in kit form..?

Here some photos from Finland, 18.8.2012 Sportscar Breakfast Club meeting, where we saw Finland's only Countach after four long years of waiting it back to the roads.

This is the same car which departing clip I added here while ago and images are mine.

    From miura1's post #13947

Looks like miura1 snapped the Lambranos on tour to Le Mans in 2002. These guys know how to drive the cars as their maker intended.

No, the gold car had a senape (tan) interior, the crashed car in Joe's post clearly has a white interior. #1120228 was RHD, this one looks LHD, but hard to see for sure. Ciao! Marcello

The details of the crash suggest the gold car had much worse damage than that of the car in the b/w photo, front wheels either pushed back or taken right off with the impact. Yes, agreed, that interior looks white.

Nothing but 2 fire extinguisher in the cockpit and a pseudo snorkel which was even not open, Sbaro had absolutely nothing to do with it, I asked him.
Even all other so called Sbarro countach he did not or didn't want to remember...

In Peter Dron's book on the Countach (page 47) the same crashed car is shown but its claimed that it was a factory crash test.

This pic has been poping up manny times. And i always thought, as mentioned in the Dron book, it was from a factory crash test.

James, that's incorrectly captioned, as is the case with several images in that book. The factory only crash-tested one Countach, the original LP500. The pic is simply that of a production LP400, crashed post-production.

Thought it was about time I posted on here after a long absence....

As Joe mentioned the Gerard Lopez QV used to belong to me along with LP400 1120192 and Silhouette 40006 (now owned by "P300V8"). I also had an 88 spec QV but have misplaced the chassis number (reg was F919 OYR - was red, now black).

I am hoping to get into another Countach soon having been through a Diablo 6.0 and Gallardo in the meantime.

If anyone knows of any cars in Europe please let me know - ideally a 5000S (LHD is fine) to stay within budget (not an Anniversary).

Most cars I see advertised are 140k euros plus but nothing stands out so far.

    Craig

P.S. this thread is fantastic btw - better than any book on the Countach!

Basicly it is straight exhaust, only "tuning" muflers that I welded on there, so it would not look like straight. I love how you can see rear diffrential cover behind the car.

Wheels are reproduction, just painted them gold color as wheels came with silver color and it was just bad...Two days I sanded those wheels to be ready for paint.

    I will restore original wheels.

    Welcome back Craig.

Meanwhile, I will humbly suggest that this is the world's number one resource on the Countach?

I am working on several cars for you.

    Mikael,

Thanks for sharing. Your car is obviously loved by an enthusiast! It looks great in its metallic black livery.

    A couple questions:

    - Are those the Bravo replicas from Eurospares?
    - Have you had some high-speed vibration with these units?

By the way this is my favorite pic from your album!

Officer to Mikael: "Do you know how loud your car is??"
    Mikael to Officer: "No"
Officer to Mikael: "Do you know how fast you were traveling??"
    Mikael to Officer: "No"
Officer to Mikael: "Can I have a look at the engine??"
    Mikael to Officer: "Sure!"

:) This exact scenario has happened to me...

I received this exact communication from one of my partners in the North East. Yes, seriously. Any leads appreciated and will be passed on.

    "Hi Joe,
Believe it or not I am seeking an Anniversary Countach (preferably White) that can be used for a movie.
    It will be crashed!
Do you know of any sh*tbox that runs?"
