Now Sonen turns toward Jones to build his career. I tell ya, I'm getting really bored with this lame, "created" WWE type drama that's come up in the past years.... and the fact that I'm just not feeling the excitement I did in the past few years.... What has changed for me??

It's Sonen, What do you expect from an over the hill con artist who has like 12 or 13 loses.

Im with Jon Jones - nothing to gain fighting Sonnen, everything to lose. See Rick Story when he fought Brenneman.

And Brenneman, of all people, tweets some lame comment about Jones...sorry, but I wouldn't take that fight either.

    Massive news!

Frankie Edgar is replacing Erik Kock, and will be fighting Jose Aldo for a shot at the title. Wow, wow, and wow!

I cannot wait for this one.

That is HUGE News! I'm still up on the shelve with the Jones thing. Yes I should have taken the easy fight to save the card, But He is taking a HUGE un-necessary risk.

Yeah, I'm super psyched about Aldo vs. Edgar.

I think Jones punked out on his company. He talks so much about being the greatest, and doesn't take a fight, after a full camp against someone he could kill...
I get that there is not much "upside", aside from the fact that it's what he does for a living, and he would be helping his company, but come on... pound for pound champ and he wouldn't take the Sonen fight, but takes a different one against anyone they throw at him two weeks later. No, he didn't have to do it, but it would have been the "right" thing to do in my book. As an aside, I wonder what Nike thinks of this and all the bad publicity he's taking over this??

"This is old-school UFC. A card is in jeopardy, but guys that are world champions and superstars stepped up and jumped in and saved the card. This is why the fans love this sport and why we went on a 12-year run without canceling an event." (Dana White on A. Silva agreeing to move up and fight Bonner) (Dana White- Insert Middle finger to Jon Jones here.....)

I am baffled at how Jon Jones can continue to irk me. Yes, he's young and will make bad decisions, but that is all that he seems to continue to make. And when he speaks through the media, he never says the right things. He makes it too evident that MMA is just a job for him, and not an endeavor of passion. He has easily become the villain that I want to see lose his belt, and I hope this happens soon.

a.s. is not really "moving" up in weight. he just has to cut less for this fight. i saw him when he was in houston and he's huge. probably walks around at 215+.

Are you talking about how he went on and on that he was "the nicest guy in the world" and everyone who meets him is so happy.... I've always said, if you have to say it, it's not true.

He's more and more of a tool every time he opens his mouth.

Silva v. Bonnar is just weird.... I bet guys are falling over themselves to show what company men they are and save cards now.

    Good card last night.

Belfort did a way better job than I ever expected from him. Interesting gameplan to pull guard as many times as he did, almost got that arm. Jones certainly looked more spent at the end of this fight compared to any other I have seen him in before.

What a war between Stann and Bisping. I was hoping Stann would take it, but Bisping is just more well rounded than him.

I love the lighter weight classes - such speed and pace, and the Johnson/Benavidez fight was no exception. Very close fight, which is befitting when awarding the very 1st belt for this division.

The Grant/Dunham fight may have been my favorite. Amazing action!

Fffuui vitor was so close to the arm bar. Mad props to jones he would have had his arm broken before tapping out. I hate The Count was pulling for stann. How was oliviera getting knocked lights out? What a ko!!!

Jones is a bad dude...been sayin' for some time. Vitor gave him a fight, but I think you're looking at a potential GOAT with Jones.

Not surprised by Cub Swanson ko'ing Oliveira, but I was pulling for Stann and I'm disappointed he lost. Happens...

I don't think ANYONE would disput Jone's fighting ability. He's a monster. For some reason he always rubs me the wrong way lately. Everytime he opens his mouth he says the dumbest stuff.

Jones was very diplomatic and came across care free and likeable in his post fight interview. No hate from me for turning down chael. Hope he takes on Anderson one day b

Amazing card yesterday - one of the best I have seen in a very long time. Just about every fight was incredible. I may have to watch it again!
