Apparently, the Rev got 5 places for jumping the start and another 5 for hitting Glock on the restart!...... Didn't see the latter..... Nobody's safe it seems....

    Cheers,
    Ian

It is clear Mald is liability to the other F1 drivers, I see no other option than revoking his F1 license.

He's certainly on *very* thin ice...

Wonder where all the 'get the Rev into the Ferrari' fans are now? ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Interesting times ahead for both drivers. I can't see a revoking any time soon but he must be on the edge of getting a ban.

    Hey,

    Unlike a few other (nameless ;)) drivers, the Schu never, ever, throws his guys under the bus;

Also noticed they're now referring to it as his "300th GP", not his "300th start". ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Funny how without Fred, ferrari managed not to screw PHil pitstops and strategy...makes us wonder.....

    ;)

You *still* better get your flamesuit on though........

He only finished 5th and made up 9 places (more than anyone else) after all.

The haters will be back soon enough. [EDIT; Although even they are pretty quiet on their idea of the Rev taking his seat now ;)]

    Cheers,
    Ian

    +1

It's time for Rev to take a 2 race suspension as well, both him and Lettuce have been causing accidents all year long.

This race show the importance of starting on the front row to avoid the crashes behind. glad no one was seriously hurt.

How does Kobi with a Ferrari engine qualify 2nd and Fred is 6th on the grid? Does Sauber haver better aerodynamics? Is Kobi a better driver than Fred? Something stinks in Maranello. :(

Phil finishing 5th is at least something for Ferrari. Terrible season for him. Gotta be his last year in the red car.

I see where Gross John got a one race ban for the first turn accident. Too bad it's not for life.

Ok yeah that shows it, Speed didn't have anything showing it that clearly.

Give thanks to Speedy! - He's da man!

Although, as he's running Windows, it apparently took him ~5 attempts to catch it just right! :p ;)

"This first corner situation obviously isn't what anyone would want to happen and thankfully no-one was hurt in the incident. I wish to apologise to the drivers who were involved and to their fans. I can only say that today is part of a process that will make me a better driver."

    D'Ambrosio to replace most likely....

Err.... seem to recall Kobayashi was 2nd on the grid and ended up with a couple of cars bouncing off his side-pod and nose!
(I was impressed that the car was still drivable at all after that!)

Monisha Kaltenborn actually said to the BBC after the race that she was glad to be at the front of the grid as it meant they should be able to avoid the usual incidents that occur in the middle of the pack, and then Kobayashi got taken out from the front of the grid!

Err... Because they got their car dialled in better for the tyres and circuit in the limited time available after the washed Friday than Ferrari did perhaps?

Martin Whitmarsh, Ross Brawn and Christian Horner have all stated that if you can get the tyres to turn on in a race then you look like a hero, but if you fail to turn the tyres on then you look like a zero, and it's a fine line between getting it right and wrong with no easy solution.

How has Rosberg gone from being a race winner to an also run?
How has Button gone from being a race winner to an also run and then back to being a race winner?

This is F1 and things change from race to race!

Lets have a look shall we:

    2012 standings:

    Fernando Alonso: 1st 164pts
    Kamui Kobayashi: 12th 33pts.

I'm going to go with: No!

He should still be doing better than he has! (and yes, he's got to make way for Perez!)

Perez will not be going to Ferrari. Ferrari have not asked for him or negotiated with him and he is now openly saying he is happy at Sauber. LdM made it clear more than once Perez is not quite ready. Id give him at least 1 more year.

Sergio Perez keen to stay at Sauber as Ferrari interest cools---http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/102046/

The problem is, the other teams and F1 can't afford this process that will make him a better driver!

If he were only damaging his own car then that would be a different matter, but he's taking out other competitors by trying to win races in the first corner!

As Niki Lauda said, he should face a couple of race bans for causing unnecessary accidents to think about his actions. His stupidity today could have cost Alonso his life!
(Alonso's on-board footage is quite frightening!)

I think there was talk of his pit entry move being looked at, but believe it's been forgotten - "No harm, no foul"?

By no means am I defending the gent. I just posted his words. Unlike others at least he does apologize. He will have a long race in Monza. He deserves his penalty if not more of course.

And Alonso had no pre-contract with Ferrari and had not been approached by Ferrari either in 2009! ;)

One more year? - Sorry, no room at the inn! (unless Ferrari are running three cars!)

Alonso and Vettel will be in residence in 2014! (if Vettel's denials of a pre-contract with Ferrari run to standard F1 practice!)

I reckon Perez will be at Ferrari for 2013, return to Sauber for 2014 (in exchange for a hefty discount on their engine supply), and then go back to Ferrari when Alonso calls it a day!
