grosjean has been suspended from driving in the next race, monza, for his part in the wreck at spa. he's also been fined 50k euros. pretty lenient considering.
They should have banned Maldonado as well, both of these guys have had more issues with other drivers than the rest of the field combined. Maldonado in particular seems to be a problem. With Grosjean it seems he just makes the errors at the start of the race.
I'm pretty sure that this is also a (subliminal) warning towards Maldonado. I'm also quite sure that if he causes another crash (won't be long) he's going to have to sit out more than one race.
MAL has been stepping on a lot of toes in 2012. We never got to see the Glock incident with him, and since he only put himself out, they couldn't do much against him this race. Him starting very far back in Monza, and the typical mayhem that happens there in the first lap, odds are high he'll be involved again, and the inevitable ban will come. If it's anything like the **** up grosjean made, I can even see him sitting out 3+ races or the whole season. He's quick, but immature and impatient. If it wasn't for the 46m he brings he would not race next year.
A subliminal warning to Maldonado? I think that subtleties are lost on him, he needs to be bashed over the head for the message to get through.
