Totally agree - They ****ed up the press release.

It will be interesting to see how young Jerome does next week though - I bet he's training harder than he's ever done - What an opportunity for the kid!

BTW - "Jerome D'Ambrosio" - We need an Is'm for him - That's way too long!

And I agree, lettuce's ban is fair and probably in consideration of his streak of "bad" behavior. He's only finished 5 of 11 races prior to Spa, and Valencia being the only non-incident where his alternator crapped out as did Vettel's.

 

Pretty good. If he should happen to be quick, it'd be easy to go to "Andro"

Sorry but nothing beats Webber's pass on Alonso last year

 

Kobe's pass on Alonso was quite good.

+1. The Speed experts were using the worst view of the start to determine if the start was jumped. There is no way you can see if Mal donado (does "donado" mean "Start"?) is rolling if you are looking through four or five cars and all the heat distortion. The side view shown earlier in the broadcast clearly showed him rolling when the lights were red.

Just another example of Speed at its best; just like when Varsha implied Kimi is a strategic genius for passing Schumie on the approach to eau rouge. Yeah he miraculously found speed he hadn't had to pass Schumie AFTER he registered in the DRS zone so he could motor on with his wing open. No one found it relevant that two laps later sixth gear is gone in MS's box... My first reaction to the pass was that it looked like MS missed a gear. Two big - but not surprising - mistakes for the Speed crew. I know they aren't idiots so what feed do they watch anyway?

 

Err.

Kimi used his KERS on MSC and MSC had to yield otherwise a big crash would have come. There is no way in hell that MSC could have come as close as he did still on the kemmel straight when Kimi's wing was open and MSC's wing closed, with a missing gear.
It was a brilliant pass and Schu's car broke a few laps after the pass.

 

There's quite a few here who would disagree.......

To answer; They're in a studio in BFN (Ohio?) watching the exact same feed as us - Their problem is we can sit back & watch - They've got to give a live commentary using no more than a few TV's & timing apps - Many times someone "goes purple" (I see it in timing) and Varsha jumps in with "XXX just went purple!" - It's not an easy task is my point I guess.

Now, the BBC & Speed have a plethora of folks - In the pits, in the press box and in the studio - Makes life a lot easier for them - Nothing to say? Cut to the pitlane reporter, return to the studio, etc.

They're not idiots and are doing their best, but I gotta be honest, the VPN and the BBC / SKY feed is one of the best investmants I've made in *years*.
