We will be publishing all of our engineering and testing for Engineers and other's who may be interested once we stop racing on this site. Best
*Awesome*, thanks again! However, and with all due respect, while it's very nice looking, there's all kinds of "typo's" in there...... I'm sure "we" can help here Jim..... Between all the "experts" here, we must be able to improve on the above, right guys? I'll start - I'll try and redo this page http://www.p45competizione.eu/contents/technical-data and post it here for peer review...... Having avidly followed Jim's journey this far, I think the WWW site can be improved, and we can help...... Cheers, Ian
Thanks. Eventually we'll fix all of that but right now we're a bit busy looking for a 12 second faster lap.
As you damn well should be! Certainly, "cleaning up" the WWW site is, and should remain, *way* down on your priority list. OTOH, I suspect potential sponsors will be looking, and a "top notch" site can't harm. While we here in the peanut gallery can't help you find 12 seconds, working with your web guy(s) is maybe something we *can* do to help a little? The original: A version for peer review, as promised; Anyone want to rip me a new one here, please go ahead! I'm not married to this, but think it's a little better than the original? Further, IMESHO; - "Autotecnica Motori" should be a link to their site. - A link to VLN site for results? - (Lack of) brake wear due the KERS should be discussed (?) - (Lack of) air also? - FWIW, Dimensions -v- Dimension. Weight -v- Weights. Suspension -v- suspensions. (No wonder non native speakers "hate" English! ) Cheers, Ian
Any chance we will see a development similar to this in the P 4/5 CM... I think I remember reading you planned to use a rear camera system after her racing days were over but maybe a full time rear facing option integrated into the fin would help the drivers out in races as well http://www.planetlemans.com/2012/05/24/audi-r18-look-into-the-future-with-a-digital-rear-view-mirror/
Thanks for the quick reply Jim, I think in a recent racecar engineering article that the hybrid system engineers from Peugeot said that with a limit of 4MJ per lap that their batteries were competitive with the other systems but beyond that that the other systems started to pull ahead... so they focused on cooling as the best way to improve performance and reliability by upgrading to high voltage transformer oil to cool their batteries
Assetto Corsa, looks brilliant [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_v8h7Eldig&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
I was at GamesCon on Thursday and was able to try the game. Sadly I couldn't drive the P4/5 in that version but I was racing her with a BMW Z4... And well I lost of course so that is quite realistic...
Your buddies at Bloomberg thought your vintage helmet made you look look like a beekeeper driving 002, lol. Have to speak to them about that No respect for tradition.

That's a separate issue. They are being very fair regarding BOP. In FIA Class 7 we very likely will win the World Championship.
It now looks like, because we're going to do additional development, our next race will be at The Ring on October 27Th not on September 29Th.
This is for the FIA World Champinoship Alternate Energy Cup Class 7 which we're leading and hope to win at this Race. Not yet sure what we'll do next year.
Our next race will be on October 27Th at The Ring. This will deceide the World Championship we're currently leading. We will be making another Development for this race including brakes, weight balance F/R, new tire Sponsor, engine development, and KERS development. We remain hopeful that we will be faster and based on how we do will deceide if we'll continue racing next year or move on to other adventures. Hopefully we'll see some of you there!
