LOL Phil, you will be astonished to know, I can more or less agree with all that, you make some great points..;)

However I'am not sure whether Ron D has much to do with him of late.

I also never take much notice of tittle tattle in the press, I love his passion for wanting to win and his driving style, always have always will, I think. However I can understand that his appeared public persona off track can wind folk up, at the end of the day, I think he seems a nice bloke, with too much money..:)

Care to put a wager on that? I could use a sucker bet to offset some of my annual Schumacher beer losses to Andreas :)

A case says Ham is not leaving the team and will be re-signed to a multi-year deal...

fyi: bets here don't really materialize. tried a few times, even with odds clearly against me no one steps up to the plate; all talk and zero walk...

But i'll wager $100 bucks with you that hambone renews at McLaren if anyone is up for it.

Did anyone find out what he carried back to the pits after the accident...he seemed pretty attached to a wing part or something.

AND, as I said before.. he should go to NASCAR where he can fling helmets like Tony Stewart.

I, like many of you here, have employees and would fire him on the spot for posting that on twitter. That info stays in the team and posting it for the whole world to see is the act of a child.
The guy is obnoxious from head to toe.

face it, someone like him will NEVER work for you or anyone here. When Michael Jordan had issues with the Chicago Bulls, he said it without consequence. When Fernando Alonso, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, et al had problems with McLaren, they said something. When Payton Manning took issue with how he was being treated by the Colts, he said so and demanded a trade.

These people are not the hourly people you employ. They are the best at what they do, and if you screw with them, many will say something. And, no, Lewis isn't obnoxious...he understand his skill and commitment to racing and refuses to be marginalized by his team.

I applaud his determination to stick up for himself. Cowardly taking what's shoved your way is the easier solution

Wrong. He is on a team and needs to act like he is on a team. Instead, he acts like a Bit$h. Payton snapped a shot of the playbook and posted it up like a girl? Give me a break.
Button would be king of the world if he just beat hamy down next time he pulls this silly sh:t.

If Enzo was alive, and Hammi drove for his team, definitely he'd be booted out. In the first place, i can't believe he was this stupid to pull this stunt.

What you are forgetting is that this isn't an office but a sport with 24 of the seemingly best drivers in the world. You can't just fire anyone because he's done something stupid, especially after you've invested many millions in said person (in lewis' case, I'd say well over £70m). You don't want someone you've invested that heavily in, also over 15 years in time, see him waddle over to another team just because he's a ****. He's talented. He's one of the best.

.....and should have CLUE about team data and its release. The stupidest thing a driver has done in a while.
He is fully expendable. Ask RD. He said as much not long ago. He drives for Mclaren, its not the other way around. The sport survived no MS or Kimi. LH would be a small footnote with only 1 title to be honest. He is hardly a legend compared to others. I like the guy but if he leaves I would hardly miss him.

The information he published is given to drivers to compare their performance against them self or their team mate.

It is of no value to anyone but them, and their engineers, contrary to what you may read else where.

Lewis was foolish to post it no question, (I have my reasons why he did) buts it's not the content of it, it's the principle and lack of thought that is the problem.

Again, you guys seem to ignore the fact that McLaren have acted like B!t€hes with their drivers historically and such has been the result. ALONSO OUTED THEM FOR STEALING FERRARI DATA....WHILE HE WAS AN EMPLOYEE! AND THEY DIDN'T "FIRE" HIM! Tell me what's worse than that?

I understand that personal hatred for the guy makes everyhing he does an egregious crime in the eyes of many here (i.e. taking blame for Grosjean slamming into him 'because he didn't get out of the way!???), but I always try to understand what drives behavior and I'm positive that McLaren has created this situation based on their handling of the driver. Unlike the most of you, I don't absolve a team of their responsibility to nuture a partnership with a driver. I think LH absolutely owns his part of the blame also and BOTH parties need to figure out how to work together.

I remember discusing F1 with Montoya when he went to CART...he had horrible things to say about McLaren.
