    Thanks!

I totally forgot to mention that the seats are new... I picked them up this weekend and ironically the seller is a fellow Fchatter. Not sure what his username is though.

They are a huge improvement over mine.. Mine were in ok shape but the padding was blown out. So it was like sitting on a wooden bench. These new ones are amazing!

Thank you! She is all original... The only mods have been to stroke engine from 351 to 377, Pantera East "Campy clone" wheels, and an upgraded Fluidyne radiator.

Oh, and yes the mirrors are the original style.. :)

My car is a very early "non-pushbutton" car. I believe the build date is May of 1971.

Nice! A friend of mine is putting similar fender flares on his '72. I really like the look but also like the original look.

Sadly his is taking longer to do than he originally thought.. I think life keeps getting in the way. :(

You car looks great! Did it come with the European side marker lights in the rear? Or is that something you added?

    John,

Great looking Pantera you have there. Don't get rid of those wheels. People will tell you they are magnesium, but they're actually made of gold! ;)

I hope you've managed to hook up with Erik, Doug, Blake and the many other great Pantera owners out your way. A bunch of us from the east went for an 8-day Rocky Mountain Run in 2010 and we had a great time. We were 15-20 cars, depending on where we were along our route. Here we are parked at the Banff Springs Hotel.

I look forward to seeing the results of your restoration.

Thanks Mark. I'm starting to get excited. The car should be done in another month or so. I used to have a CAV GT40 replica and I miss the raw event. This car is also getting a new motor (427 small block - you can see it in one of the pics). The car was in a sad state when I got it. I was going off the reputation of the broker that was selling it and I never went to see it... bad idea.

So, I'm working to make her beautiful again. The Pantera community has been fantastic. Everyone has been so helpful. I am able to get all the correct replacment parts, switches, even a new delta wing!

As I progress, I will post pics as per usual on FChat.

I have not met anyone locally but I look forward to as soon as she's done!

They are wonderful cars. Keep these pictures coming. I need some motivation! I am thinking about some cv axles. Anyone tried them? Hopefully I'll get back on mine & finish it up soon.

    Last days of auction...

These tires came off a set of 10 inch campy's destined for Germany. Buyer didn't want the shipping expense. He would be sorry if he saw what he passed on. These are like new and are PERFECT size for 10 inch campy's. If you are runnin a set for show or drive, these start a great set!

    John,

You should post that on the Pantera Board. Another place that would be interested might be the GT40s board for some of the Superformance guys.
