    Is that the silver one that had a minor fender bender? It was also listed on one of the other car forums for 179 awhile ago. Got the vin so we can confirm?

    Maybe we should throw a Prius in the mix; what it lacks in speed and passion is made up in fuel economy and an innate knack to create a queue in the fast lane.

    Different people buy cars for different reasons, why must it only be for one exclusive reason deemed appropriate by one person. A lot folks buy these things for bragging rights/status symbol, who are we to judge?

    Again, I just threw numbers up in response to the comment that their performance difference is marginal, which is not true.

    By the way, I got the 377 production figure for the 360 CS from Ferrari Market Letter. I did not make it up. They stated that 200 were sold in the US. Of course, I am sure there is some variation. The market letter quotes a 2K figure for the Scuds.

    Can you post it up!? Everything shared on the boards thus far has been speculative; an official letter would be much more concrete.

    From what ive read 1288 for the CS and over 3000 for the scud wordlwide production/estimate numbers..

    You will do better long term with the CS, and it's irrational to argue otherwise. The Scud is obviously a better car by any objective measure, but as I read your criteria that's not relevant. The CS will cost more to maintain, but it will still cost less than your 575. Base case, you will almost certainly lose money on a Scud, whereas you will almost certainly not on a CS. In any future market where you find Scud values have increased, CS values will have also increased and probably by a greater amount. It's basic supply and demand. If either car were a dog, things might be different. But both cars in their times were great cars. There are simply many more Scuds.

    I am sure it does. Anyone into F cars should subscribe. I think it is about $45 for 6 months and about double that for a year. It has been around for a long, long time. It has a pricing index from 6 months ago to 3 years ago so you can track pricing. It also has articles and classified ads.

    Ahhh... Another magazine racer. Gotta love 'em.

    The CS is actually quoted at 4.1s to 60. But who's counting?

    All the magazine numbers in the world don't really mean squat in the real world. At every track day I have had Scuds on track with me, my little CS leaves them for dead.

    The CS is rapidly becoming a car with a cult following, with a very limited (for 2004), production run. It's about supply and demand, and demand is already outstripping supply.

    Holy mother of... another one reading out of context... for the !$*#@#th time, it was a response to a early claim that performance between scud & cs is marginal, which is objectively untrue!!!! I threw up numbers to show the disparity...Jesus, must be a really tender topic/inferiority complex for cs owners.

    I'll put $1,000 bucks on F430GT that he blows your panties off at the track =D He's my hero and subjectively he or any better driver in an inferior car can take you. Hell I'll even bet on this local 355 guy who blew past all of us on track day like we were driving prius'.

    So are you saying cs is faster than scud on track with same driver? Ferrari must have done something wrong to make a slower car after 4 years.

    No need to get all wound up here. You have no idea how good or bad a driver Ingenere is.

    No, he is saying he is a better driver than the Scuderia drivers.

    ...but for whatever it is worth..last time I was at PIR with Ingenere many eons ago..I was lapping him! ;)

    It certainly does and I don't think that is the key here - the Strad is such a special drive, the Scud isn't so special. I've driven both considerably.
    The CS is quicker than a Dino/Daytona etc - it's probably very close in performance to an F40 - it's not the performance that is in question here.

    TBH if the Scud was the same price as a Strad I'd probably change but that's just me - mainly because it's newer and more reliable (?) with miles on them - maybe. But it's not worth the price difference at the moment.

    the comments from owners is that the car is more exclusive and rare but IMO that doesnt matter I would prefer the car that performs the best which in my opinion makes it "better". If I was worried about resale then I couldnt drive it as often as I wanted to and therefore it would be ideal for a collector or someone that just wants to stare at it in their garage.

    Every new model is an improvement from the previous it is just a question of what someone wants.
