Sorry if this question was asked before but:

Do you use the killswitch on a daily basis or only when parking the car for a relatively long period of time like more than a month?
Me, I only use it when retiring the car for winter (4 months). Otherwise current is on even if I know the car will be parked for a week or two...

I use it every time I park the car in my garage, whether it's for a day or a month. It happened that I forgot to do it, and the car sat for 3 weeks before starting just fine.

For the last 12 yrs I have been using it since day one.

The only time I don't touch it is if I drive on a Friday, then again the next day or Sunday. If its a week at a time I always use it to shut off. My last battery lasted 14 yrs, I just changed my battery last spring.

Daily? -- no way! -- too much hassle to reset the clock ;)

Assuming that you don't have some badly installed electronics, a couple of weeks should be OKish -- for a month, or more, switching it off makes sense -- JMO...

In addition to the kill switch reducing a very small risk of fire, it can also serve as an
added theft deterrent for those unfamiliar with the vehicle. I have custom
anti-theft devices rigged and the kill switch is just one of many used. Sometimes I forget the elaborate alarm-disable power-up start-up sequence and block myself from driving
    the TR. ;)

The kill switch is also handy if you intend to open the doors for more than a few hours.

Yes my clock is always flashing.
I wish the factory had installed an analog clock.

I agree fully, mine is always OK after a couple of weeks.
