Thanks Peter...you are correct..but I have linked the thread you refer to here...I never claimed it was a Series 1 car..never attempted to pass it off as that..as matter of fact..as you will note.."in your own words" I state it is a S2 with the "Early Series" Bravo wheels and not as a series 1...wish it was..

Maybe I am wrong..but I thought ALL S1, S2, S3 cars are considered early "Series cars" as they are often refered to, as we then go into other variants, 500 5000s etc etc..so I stand corrected now and we no longer can call car's, S1, S2, S3 cars "Early Series" cars...I will make sure I dont use that term ever again..

Maybe we can go back to ALL the posts of ALL people who refer to the first cars as Early series cars...becuase it appears that the "Courts" have spoken and that term is in-correct, wrong and mis-leading...just as the term "needs nothing" is...correct..?

I spent the last ten-fifteen minutes reading the last few pages of this thread. It's amazing what I miss being away for awhile. I see Roy is up to his usual antics.

Joe your quote below, really said it all. I am glad to see that you got it off your chest.

    Quote:
"Your response was: "Works for me". It took you just 12 days to completely disregard what you mandated & break your promise. Clearly your word isn't worth anything.

Now you want to do this via the PMs? Seriously?

You see, this is how it works: when you are off this thread, its nice & peaceful & productive. When you come ion here, drama starts in 10 mins."

Roy, you are constantly stating how irrelevant the banter is regarding these specific topics but you seem to really delve into opposition each time Joe brings up a point that is of relevance to plenty of other people in this forum. Are you so jealous of Joe that you feel the need to take the opposing side at every turn? I don't really get it.

One more thing Roy, on the subject matter of going back to "the car has no needs" thing, do you really want to go there?? May I remind you of your "Perfect Countach" and having to pry it away from the owner's hands to get him to sell it - when that car was up for sale for months, if not, for the last few years.

I find Joe's contributions to the Lambo community to be extremely valuable and noteworthy.

    Thank you.

You know, the Silver Lining in all of this is that we really get to discuss & learn the nuances of these cars, so I guess from that point of view everybody benefits.

Or at least those who can read do.

Thank you, and one day I will publish another book on the skulduggery that I uncover & deal with in order to be of value and be a forthright presence in the community.

Meanwhile, I hope you & yours are well.

I am a long time follower of Fchat and a first time poster.I came to this forum on the recommendation by two friends who are well known here.I have learned a great deal from these threads. For that, I thank the entire community.
Antonio, I believe that you are absolutely on point.Thank you for having the guts to say what many on this forum feel. There seems to be something fundamentally wrong with how some people attack others here.I would never look to buy a Hyundai let alone a Lambo from someone who lacked both class and common sense. On the other hand, as you stated, I also find Joe's posts to be a vital contribution to this community.

Here is the thread that I want everyone to read, carefully.
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=356095

It speaks for itself, and underscores my attitude.

The last time I saw anyone back-pedal, duck, dive, bob & weave as good as you, it was The Greatest of All Time himself, Muhammed Ali, in Kinshasa, 1974. You make the Ali Shuffle and his Rope-a-dope seem mundane. But even Ali couldn't run forever. Your tangled web of double-talk and drivel serves only to dig you deeper at every turn into a pile of your own BS. As V-Twelve asserts, we could do without the constant attempts at baffling us with BS. My advice to you is: hire someone to proof-read anything you intend to post-publicly, and then send it out to check it for historical & technical accuracy. Then wait a further 1 week and re-think it before you even bother to post. The reason I suggest this is because by your own seemingly proud declaration, you haven't read a book since high school, so perhaps you don't realize that the sentiments you espouse publicly, define who you are, what you do, and how you do it.

Here is what you actually said:
"This is a LP400S Low Body Series Early car" http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141210322&postcount=4

    Then you said:
"Not the first set of S1 cars with the Small Guages" http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141211036&postcount=9
Clearly insinuating it was an S1 big-gauge car! Crock of BS. Why not simply say at that juncture that it was an S2 car????

I then had to come on and say this below, hinting as best as I could as to what was going on, whilst practicing a brand of diplomacy I have long since set aside.
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=141224507&postcount=18

Do you think the community-at-large is stupid and can't read? There is a difference between what you say you said in this post, and what you actually said. Don't insult our collective intelligence, the bottom line is that getting you to simply say this was a S2 car was like pulling teeth. Getting you to declare the car's identity was like suffering an agonizing death via Chinese water torture. Either you were unwilling to be straightforward and simply state at the beginning of the thread what the car you were boasting about really was, or you simply didn't know accurately what it was. You decide which.

Whilst I am surprised this even needs to be pointed out, I will repeat what I said earlier: A seller or someone licensed in the business of selling these cars who holds himself out as a specialist or expert ought to present them as they came, as much as the original equipment survives with the car. The simple reason is one of avoiding confusion or any misrepresentation, or allegations thereof. A private owner of a car not for sale on the other hand has no such obligation. The fact that the car was being sold and you had the original Campagnolo wheels means that the car should have been represented with those items, not Bravos, and not OZs.

Perhaps in the world you live in, smoke & mirrors, slight-of-hand, and a pretense towards not being able to express yourself properly, covers all bases. Most people like straightforward no-nonsense representation.

Your style explains the back-pedaling to explain away a completely indisputable statement made by you that S2 & S3 cars use Bravos as original equipment. I am still stunned that someone who sells these cars would make such a statement publicly. This is the type of BS in the Lamborgini community I have fought, am fighting, and will always fight against. Classic Lamborghinis deserve better representation than mythical lore waxed lyrical by Johnny Come Latelys.

Please, spare us the 'Drama Queen' antics clearly evident in your statement of "Maybe we can go back to ALL the posts of ALL people who refer to the first cars as Early series cars...becuase it appears that the "Courts" have spoken and that term is in-correct, wrong and mis-leading..."
Nobody refers to these cars as "Early Series cars" but YOU, so we don't have to go back to ALL the posts of ALL the people. What people? I have been around & owned these cars since long before you ever saw a Lamborghini and even in the old days they were simply referred to as Lowbody cars. Now they are referred to by most as S1 S2 or S3 cars, and some refer to S1 & S2 as Lowbody cars. Even those completely unfamiliar with the model refer to them as LP400S and if a Series comes up it is mentioned as S1 S2 or S3. For someone who pretends to specialize in these cars, you really ought to know better.

As for 'has no needs' don't even go there. Wasn't it you who blatantly misrepresented the ex-Mario Andretti car as "Perfect". That sale-proof restoration project for sale for years was "Perfect"? Want me to post pics of its flaws? Pics don't lie Roy.

You sure do have a lot of BS to espouse when you are behind a keyboard. I met someone with similar attributes a few years ago who turned out to be far less impressive than his typing would have you believe. I bet if I met you in person, at, say, an upcoming club meet, you'd have a lot less to say face-to-face. In fact, I think you'd be as quiet as the proverbial church mouse. I've seen it unfold before. I can see why you like Lamborghini. Its symbol is the bull

I hope you stay & participate because I enjoy a spirited debate, so far as the reading public is learning some pertinent Countach detail along the way. But remember, since you won't even adhere to an agreement you made in writing with Rob Lay himself, I guess I have carte blanche to as it relates to my debating parameters :)

Perhaps you think I have become a little harsh towards you. If so, let me assure you (& anyone reading) that is not the case. This is me being nice. Which is what most people who are fair & civil towards me think I am, by the way. Till the next episode Roy.

    This is just flippin' exhausting.

One of you has to be the better man and walk away, who's it going to be?

I'd ask for the thread to be closed, but my dear Lord, you'll both just start flaring it up again somewhere else.

Hey, how about you start your own grudge match website, see what traffic you get, allow votes on who is winning, and sell ad space for a few extra bucks?

Joe...for the last time a few points...

AND LET ME make this perfectly clear..I have no intention of leaving this board or have you or anyone else think that the constant barage of your statements or of your "supporters" clapping of your statements will see me gone from here..AINT happening..because every one has something to say and thats what you get when your in the Public eye...has no effect on me changing who I am..

As far as the agreement with ROb..AS ALWAYS..a few posts back I SAID please POST the entire e-mail exchange between Joe, Roy and Rob...of course as always...you ignore it and dont...why because it would put you in JUST as bad a light and JUST as bad an offender as myself..so untill you do that..be quite...

As far as thinking I would not talk in your presence..again you are on crack..I have no fear of you, I will admit I am a bit concerned about your recent threats of physical violence to me when you see me in person..but there are laws to protect people from ignorant individuals that revert to threats of bodily harm..its called a restraining order..but no worrys..I wont waste my time getting one for you..and you have had and will have multiple chances to exchange with me in person if you wish....however if your wish is to become violent..and assaultive..no for me..I am ready to admit defeat int he areana of a "physical fight" you would win..happy about that..but assaults and bodily injury heal..suits with damages and finicial penaltys stay forever..as in a Judgement..I will be in San Diego this year, as I have been for the last 9 for the Lambo meeting..your more then welcome to come see me and voice all your concerns in person..or as I have invited you in the past..you are more then welcome to come to my office, home, whatever you wish here in Seattle when in the area..

For me..the differnce between my use of the word "perfect" and your use of the word "has no needs"...is really simple..not concern to us or what we think...lets just ask the TWO customers involved in OR statements..Yours Mr Avery..WHO would not get near your type of dealing with a 10 foot pool and feels as I do about you...or my customer on the Andretti car who is happy as heel with his pruchjase..thats the test..not what me you or others think..but the thoughts of the end user, the customer..but if it makes you happy..lets say we each cancel each other out on this one..and we BOTH had "excuses" for the terms..we just wrote our "excuses" in a differnt tone..

As far as your value here..I am the first to admit..you have great value here...and I free to admit more knowledge and detail oriented then myself..no issue there...I just dont think EVERYTHING you say or ost is Black and White...there is and always will be another point of viiew, another way to word it, another way to look at it..and yours IMO is not ALWAYS, but most of the itme a proper way..untilt he day you and or I die, we will always have people that agree or dis-agree with us..you know as well as I do, you have past associates that dont work with you any longer as well as ALL people in business do..

So, Jow..I am not leaving, I love the Lambos and was lucky that my love for these cars turned into a business that is profitable..and again, wheter you like it or not, wheter you or others think it is arrogant...so what..I DONT need to sell a single car again in my life to eat..I am here because I enjoy it...and when that enjoyment stops..then I will leave...and as you, I will voice my opinion and my thoguhts..and everyone is free to make whatever decision they wish from it..but I will not sway my thoughts based on others pressure on me...I am my own person and will remain that way...love it or leve it,.

SO, I am sure you will have an answewr, and it will be free of speeling erors..and thats great..but I am not going to keep arguing with you about past crap..not worth my time..I will as always, in the future, if I dis-agree with you or anyone else..I will voice my opinion..

To all a good day...and remember..today is the first day of the rest of your life,..

Roy, i think you should write via PM and not on the public forum posts like your last one, just the last of a long series: they are private, we don't give a damn to read your personal dispute, can you understand this?

We care just of Countach as this is a fantastic discussion about Countach where everyone can find tons of useful informations, learn a lot of things and download thousands of awesome pictures: do not go on this way, please.

    Many thanks.

These pics that Pluquet has posted makes me wonder, how many variations of "tan" interios were there in the CT? Seems like there was (forgive me for not knowing the names) Bone, Cream, Tan, Saddle, and then darker to Tobacco. What stuns me with all of these pictures is how many combinations there are / were.
