    Yes I too see Button's value. He's a stabilizing force on the team, but if they want to win, Button's potential fades more than Hamilton's with every year that passes.

    Sorry but I disagree. I have a feeling that over the next 3-4 seasons we will still see Hamilton making the same mistakes and loosing valuable points for the team and himself.

    There was one tick box omitted from the poll, the one I would have chosen:

    Who cares?

    Ouch! :)

    I think most fans care though (?) Love him or hate him (seems there's no neutrals where Lulu is concerned!) he is, and will probably remain, a serious threat every year.

    Do I "care"? Probably not. But I am certainly "interested" in the opinions of others. [I may not agree, but even misguided opinions are OK ;)]

    Cheers,
    Ian

    If they didn't care, why would they even look at the thread, never mind even comment in it.

    I don't really care as long as it's not with Ferrari, that would suck as much as getting hit in the crouch with a baseball bat.

    I don't see the arrogance with Alonso as with Hamilton.

    Sorry to say that a whining, crying, crashing, Lulu (I like that name) will be better for the team than Massa but Fred would have none of it.

    Last time they arrived at the team together. Also back then Alonso was different.
    Now Ferrari is Alonso's team and he has matured considerably.
    As for your question, well maybe because Hambone attracts contaversy at every corner with his infantile behavior.

    So what your meaning is, everyone at Ferrari is whistling his tune, and he is the number 1 driver, yes am sure he is happy now.

    Ahh but Yes Hambone :rolleyes: I see is infantile, because he is complaining things are not going his way? feels the team not supporting him ? but it makes for a controversial talking point, there again I suppose it is better to be talked about than not.

    Well, yes, the Scuderia are whistling his tune. He is the número UNO. In McL he arrived as the 2xWDC, but it was at the same time Hambone did. However, Lulu was "on the team" for years before that. I am sure you understand how very different the McL situation was compared to what it would be regarding both of them being on the same team in 2013.
    And about being talked about vs not, your comment is absolutely 100% on the money IF we were talking about his gf who generates her revenue solely based on her popularity. But you are implying that it is something to judge his worthiness by. And in his case and in F1 in general it is not so. Grosjean must be really high on your list of drivers, together with Maldonado, as they are being talked about a lot lately. Any publicity, even bad sells rap albums, but does not give you any bargaining power negotiating an F1 contract.

    So is your opinion that Buttons potential will fade and frankly I do not care what happens with Lewis. If he quit F1 tomorrow I would not miss him one bit.

    Posturing and leverage...

    I couldn't agree any more with Whitmarsh's comments. I also think Fuller's agency is great for entertainers, but corrosive for an athlete. LH can make more money than he'll ever spend as a champion driver. His legacy will be measured in WDC titles, not Kobe Bryant-esque rap albums.

    The world may be his oyster, but his path has already been set...

    +2

    Forget where I came across it now, but someone suggested that Fuller would have him join the Spice Girls;

    Posh
    Ginger
    Baby
    Scary
    Sporty

    and introducing their new member;

    Stupid!

    Only problem is the girls may be jealous of his earrings and Scary grows a better beard than him.

    :)

    Cheers,
    Ian

    What the hell does "develop my brand" mean. He is a F1 race driver and is practically unknown in the United States except among F1 fans. After his career is over, and I predict no more titles for him, he will just become become another arrogant ex-athlete.

    No joke. Does he want to market perfume or shoes? Geez. His only 'brand' right now is of an arrogant drama queen. And no, the earrings don't help. Maybe he's frustrated because can't come out of the closet (career killer); no other way to explain so many 'personal problems' :D. I wouldn't miss the guy one bit either.
