I could not drive the car without the passenged side mirror: it's very important for safety and helps a lot in some situations.

The background plus the 2 colors on the car make this a unique and cool picture.

    5th gear?

There is nothing like a red interior in a Countach.

Curious as to what the laws are regarding side mirrors...my 76 Corvette had driver side only...

    Thanks Joe, I appreciate B&W pics .
IMO they really magnify the Countachs beauty, and raise the bar in automotive art.

I've actually recently had a personal, road-side workshop on rear-view mirrors with the Tennessee Highway Patrol. I was running on center mirror only on my Manx, as my fender mirrors had been stolen. The THP said they like to see the driver's side mirror and one other, either the center mirror, or the pass-side mirror. Three not required.

All of the production changes that seem to have been "slipped in" to see who is paying attention :) keep this thread very interesting.

Joe spoke to Horacio at the McCall event at Pebble a coupe of weeks ago. Showed him this picture of my Countach parked next to a RR Drop Top Coupe (MF car), the emphasis was on the size variance. He just smiled, but did not seem to enthused...

5000S engine pulls hard starting from 2000 RPM in fifth gear too: in the picture engine was at 2200 RPM and more or less 100 km/h, fifth gear was perfect for that trip.

My guess is that this 'Sonia' is the 'Sogna', a concept by Art&Tech based on the rolling chassis of a Countach 25th Anniversary...
