+ Add $$$ for the Turbo Targa (Very rare) and the factory 930S option.

So I realize that the allure of a 930 is big, and it is a wonderful car, but if you are looking for something that will appreciate the most in the next 5 to 10 years I would think about going earlier. The long hood cars with matching numbers are bringing some really impressive numbers, and will only continue to rise as demand for these cars continues to rise.

    Just my .02

I ran across that ad as well. Beautiful car but that's right around 2.7 RS Touring money.

Who knows? There are only a few US legal 993 RS's floating around so maybe it will be worth it with the way prices are moving upward. Regardless, I'd be real nervous righting a $300K check for that car.

    Hmmm...$400K for a 2.7 RS Lightweight, $300K for a 993 RS, $225K for a RS 4.0. That sounds like a way to invest $1MM and get your 911 fix.

Much as I like the 993RS (I have one), if you tell me that I can get 1973RS for similar money, that is what I will get - the original RS is iconic.

They are climbing in value, expect to spend at least $300 for an ok one. I have a neighbor with an original 73 with the orange/red paint, rock chips, scratches, etc. Just a nice, ORIGINAL driver (my kinda car) and he wouldn't take $350 for it :(

73RS has climbed rather rapidly in value compared to the other aircooled RSs.

go with this one....available NOW here on fchat ads and presently listed with anamera.com

we all know the merits of the '79 model year and this one has to be one of the cleanest original examples in the world. Black paint that is literally flawless, perfect...frustrates me to have to sell, but I am remodeling the ultimate bachelor pad and this presents the world with an opportunity to snag one of the finest 930's you will ever find. I am never shy about shouting about how great some of my cars are (former award winning Countach and Mangusta will attest to that), and this one is right there at the top, they are only original once and this one will blow your mind at how spectacular it is...as is!

used 7 different adjectives to describe it :D all true :)

I have replaced the engine compartment buffer with NOS piece to 'clean up' engine compartment since this photo fyi

I think the '98 Carrrera S will appreciate because it is the last air cooled 911. Plus it looks great!
