Oh yes & we were even given a red T-shirt that says "I love PM" :)

Saw the news on that accident, unless enough saferty barrier was put in place but it won't be easy on public area so spectators must have their own sense of safety.

When we did Mille Miglia last year, there's a constant danger of taking people out just metres away from you in the hills. Well, there were a few serious accidents & I'm amazed that the public didn't make noise about it. Their love for motoracing is deep.

    Yes; old news.

I actually saw another video of this year parade. Someone shot it while they were driving around the track. Sadly to say its not organized at all. Cars were overtaking both from outside and the inside. I only saw part of the video, so can't justify much.

Frankly, i think manual version is a big win. The changes are so smooth, the clutch is light and soft, and it's very easy to drive in traffic.

Having said that, i've always preferred manual cars. I know its a hassle to drive them in heavy traffic, but the CRZ seems to be very different.

    Brian,

you started this thread didin't u! good to see you still active on it.....
in regards to the pedal being too soft, i personally prefer a clutch which you got to work on and one which gives a "kick-back".....besides it working ure calf, you actually get a better feel and control of the clutch.....too soft and it becomes as though ure less connected to the tranny....

    Hi Bro,

yeap, i started the tread. Just not been regular this last 2 months so, due to nature of my job. However, it's great that everyone exchanges information here. I just hope one day, we could all meet up. That would be great.

I went up Genting last Saturday to chillout with a friend of mine. Saw a badly wrecked Lambo Gallardo on the way up. Tyre marks all over the road. From what i saw, he must have had some sort of oversteer and hit the kerbs/plantation pots. The whole front end was in pieces. Yellow in colour, and i think the driver must have been a newbie. It wasn't even raining. No puncture either.

Upon reaching the top, there were probbaly 30-40 Lambos up there, all from Singapore. Even the latest Aventador showed up. 3 if i recall. :)

It wasn't some sort of life threatening crash Jon. But, i do think the car is a write off, because the whole front end is just destroyed.

However, i have no experience in judging how to write off a Lambo :)

Sounds pretty serious, all I heard was "it hit a lampost" :p

I think the nose is easily replaced on mid-engine cars unless the insurer feels that the write-off is a better deal & these days we have S$30K  excess but coming to Malaysia, it's doubled to S$60K (RM150K).... this will be really painful for the owner.

I've had to drive up & down Genting 8x due to work :( over the weekend & saw two accidents before my eyes. One hit the divider wall & another a motorcycle with a wandering rider decided to hooked onto the rear bumper of a car & went down then dragged along with the pillion....they're lucky to escape with light injuries cos we were slow due to traffic.

I rarely drive up to Genting, in fact last weekend's trip was my first in almost 2 years. However, i did realize that lots of people tend to show off their skills on the way to the top...

hi there and welcome to Fchat and this local thread! well the current market price on the car you're looking at is pretty much what it is. the price difference you're looking at or experiencing is pretty normal as it being a much newer model (as compared to the older V8s which have pretty much bottomed/ flattened out) is determined by the year of manufacture.. so early 2004/2005 models are around mid/high RM500k i think with the later ones with standard ceramic brakes and other modifications/updates (which you can find out in detail in the 430 thread here) being about RM200k-300k more.....then there are the Scuds and 16Ms which are still around or over RM1M i think....... keep us posted on your progress....well the good news is there are plenty of 430s in the market so go around and have a look at them all if possible......cheers

What Pillai said & the latest offers from dealers seem to be starting from Rm500K which has dropped quite a fair bit from before. Was told there are more 430s than 360s now due to grey imports but finding a unit with good history is vital so please put the car on lifter & have the agent or specialist to inspect it thoroughly whenever possible. Good luck!

Thanks mate. The Diablo is actually black.

I have profound respect for some of the local drivers who ply this route & they can be very good!

At one point of time, all my cars were black! Yikes...not that I want it but that's the deal when buying used but it's a little more colourful now ^^

Yes, wife forces me to sell the 456 since it's not getting driven. Probably one of the best in the country by now, spent tens of thousands keeping it tops & the irritating window issue is finally fixed! Anyone who wants a Ferrari V12 experience for cheap & have the family along, this is the car & it's very easy to drive too.

Sounds interesting, will pm you if I can make it for this trip.

    Hi everyone !

Need some answers regarding buying a 2010 used 458,
it's priced at 1.6M at a grey dealer. is it worth it?
or should I go for a new car, cus of the 7 years free maintenance package.

just worried of reliability cus I will be driving it almost daily to work.

    Thanks in advance.

Wow 1.6m & a 2010 grey import!? How much is a new 458 from Naza now? Didn't know they offer 7 yrs warranty too, that's a first I've heard & would save you a lot of money in the long run. Most owners are putting them on tax-free plates cos it's a weekend toy but you're going to drive it daily. Got to work out your sums then.
