THE F70 (LaFerrari) Thread

Perhaps the F70 will employ one electric motors per front wheel; assisting all round traction and cornering, allow torque vectoring, and front axle regenerative braking?

Actually Ferrari is not really interested in records with this car, (top speed, HP, etc) interestingly Ferrari is very interested in one record and KERS will play a large role in that. I very much hope they achieve their goal in that regard. While its true that this will be by far and away the fastest (road) Ferrari ever, they have some very stiff competition and not just from Mclaren. However, Ferrari have a couple surprises up their sleeves and hearing about the lap times already achieved by the prototype(s) I think this car is going to set the bar very high.

 

So the car will be shown in Geneva and not Paris?

Are you asking me or? If you are, I have a couple contacts within Ferrari and some Friends that own 599xx(s) (etc) so my information comes from them. I can not and will not go into anymore detail lest I lose my source(s) for the information, but I assure you the information is very real. I think there may be a language barrier issue here, but there is a far polite way to phrase such a question.

 

I ask for everyone but it is very nice to me, but other than the technical issue is that I would like to know is the date of Paris or Geneva I think everyone is confused

sounds like perhaps they are anxious to do an all out 'ring' lap time? that would be surprising, as it hasnt been thier concern really to date

 

They were there for a while w/the 599 GTO and XX. Have only seen the XX # posted, though.

No, that's not what they're after. Ferrari couldn't beat the current record that is held by another street legal Ferrari anyway.

No, its very much speed related, but who doesn't gloat about being quick? Everything I have been told about the new car and the P12 makes me think we're in for a very good fight. I think the new car is going to some things better than the P12 and vice versa.

 

certainly, agreed ....i mean that they of course have that in mind, to use any record achievement in promotion of the car & brand ....i for one enjoy the mclaren vs ferrari duel ...it improves the breeds, through good ol' fashioned competition!

maybe? ...it'll be hard to beat the veyron ss for that IMO ...watching the TG vid of veyron vs lightweight mclaren F1, the Ferrari will have to really be something to gain a foot hold there
